I'd have given Game Night an Oscar. I enjoyed Anora and it's unquestionably well done, but that's about it.

The weird thing is that I didn't really rate Anora (I prefer his early films) but no mortality involved. Like this year's choices it's more Green Book than a great film.

Very difficult to say no to the school bully who will punish you heavily if you don't at least try to pacify him.

Fascinating Western. Lancaster tries to steal every scene while Cooper quietly gobbles him up. Great direction from Aldrich and so really nice use of extras.

Improves every film

Entertaining enough caper. He doesn't really have the emotional range for this, but it's charming nonetheless. Dunst does a fair amount of heavy lifting, but it's just never feels real. Which is odd for something based on a real story.
