The disconnect between the talking heads talking about how AI is "writing all their code now" and my daily lived experience with opus 4.6 is still baffling to me. It definitely changes how I work, but I'm still correcting and fixing things that it gets wrong constantly.
having used claude extensively for the past couple of months, i think there is still a lot of value to understanding your code and steering it intentionally. the amount of incidental complexity claude accumulates otherwise (which mostly results in bugs that it can't ever fix reliably) is staggering.
We killed 85 schoolgirls. We are not the good guys.
no
if the media had any integrity β and it doesnβt anymore β theyβd be pointing out on a loop that Obama made a deal with Iran, Trump cancelled it because Obama is Black, and then Trump started a war on the pretense there is no deal
This should be a front-page scandal.
ICE "should be abolished, but also it should be prosecuted" - Democratic Rep. @sethmoulton.bsky.social, from the centrist wing of the party, tells me he wants his party leadership to go further than just reforming ICE. Doing that is "no longer believable."

The async and await keywords in C# are implemented using a state machine that the compiler generates. So the JIT (Just-In-Time compiler) has to no idea aboutβ¦
Absolutely enraging. ICE kidnapped a 16 year old child in Mpls, refused to let him go home, sent him to a youth shelter in Michigan and LOST TRACK OF HIM. The familyβs lawyer used an investigator to trace a phone call and locate him. (π link)

In Quakertown, PA, up to 50 students walked out in protest of ICE, despite attempts by school authorities to stop demonstrations. Students were violently attacked when the police chief put one student in a choke hold as police made several arrests. www.wsws.org/en/articles/...
I've got $100 on it. Can you match me?
Itβs a very sad thing how Donald talks like a dull fifth/grader.
I'm not trying to argue against your expertise on the subject, I just find it frustrating when people say something is wrong without clearly explaining why or how it is wrong. Is there a source you can share with us about how humans construct sentences?
What is the connection between how we read and our ability to predict logical words to put together to form sentences?
notorious radical left communist rag says tax the rich
This the skeleton key that explains the entire left-of-center political and informational environment. There is no social reward for ever saying anything nice about a mainline Democrat, so no one does. As a result, baseless antipathy towards the party completely pervades the environment.
The Craven Broadcasting System thought it better to cower from Brendan Carr rather than air this thoughtful Colbert interview with @jamestalarico.bsky.social. It was fifteen minutes well spent this morning to watch it.

Weβre going to talk a little bit more about the Democratic Party. If you had to use one or two words to describe the Democratic Party, what words would you pick? Mike, 33, N.C., white, Democrat, telecomms Spineless. Jill, 47, Md., white, Democrat, real estate agent More complacent than I thought they would be. Michael, 56, Ore., white, Democrat, bookdealer Paralyzed. Denise, 57, Ga., Latina, Democrat, account manager Afraid. Panth, 29, Ariz., Asian, independent, computer science Incompetent. Kai, 36, Wash., white, independent, care coordinator I guess suffocated, or given up. Our local governmentβs trying to do a lot. But then in the House and the Senate, theyβre getting voted against with the Republican majority, so. Terrill, 68, Ind., Black, Democrat, retired Sold out. I just feel we were never being governed. Weβre being looted. The Democratic Party lined their pockets and created β they created this mess. I do like what Trumpβs doing in terms of the tariffs. Theyβve been milking us for God knows when.
Hope that Democrats aren't relying on the enthusiasm of their base to win in November www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
Wow.
This is very welcome news. I had already switched a ton of scripts to C#, but was forced to toggle to VS Code to edit them.
@rider.jetbrains.com Rider 2026.1 EAP 4 is now supporting file-based C# programs π€© That is really nice, and I see already some usages like C# scripts in place of PowerShell ones.

ICE killed a teacher in Georgia today when they chose to chase a man who posed no danger and had no criminal history.
Immigration has made the US economy great and it will do so again.
But we need our leaders to stand up for it. No cowardice, no poll-watching on immigration. Defend it. Praise immigrants. Americans are ready to hear it.

Nice article!
