- your libraries are also most likely organizing a lot of events to attend
- join a buy nothing group
- advocate for community gardens
- purchase from small, local businesses when you can
- bake for your elderly neighbor (or just check on them!)
- donate needed food/provisions to your local food pantry
- hell, sign up for a shift to volunteer!
- organize craft night or attend an already organized craft night in your area
- follow your local mutual aid on social media
Some things we can do to help people directly in our communities:
- call your local school and pay off some lunch debt for kids
- make sure your friends and neighbors know your home is open and safe
- donate your gently used clothing to anywhere but a store selling it for profit

SCREAMING INTO THE VOID TODAY BECAUSE MY BODY CANNOT CONTAIN THE FEELINGS ANY LONGER
Like I need y’all to realize that they do not even HAVE ENOUGH DESKS for everyone. They do not even have the space available for someone to be able to do their job properly. So when you hear them complain about “how no one wants to work” or “wasting resources” you know exactly what’s happening.
When policies like this are meant for the sole purpose of getting people to quit so that it destabilizes our government entities so that it makes way for privatization???? What seems like a small, inconsequential thing is actually a really big bad thing. Like REALLY bad
Not to mention being able to work from home when you’re sick so you do not have to take sick leave for something trivial, but get to keep your coworkers safe.
My heart goes out to all of the federal workers who are about to lose any work from home benefits they had on Day 1. The flexibility has been paramount for our family and I cannot imagine how especially devastating this will be for new parents.
