Sen. WHITEHOUSE: Your department’s acquisition of luxury private jets was described as the 'world’s worst deal' and an abuse of federal funds. Did Republicans know about this when they passed their 'billionaire’s bill'?

Sen. DURBIN: Your agency arrested 261 DACA holders last year—and deported 86 of them. Why have you deported dozens of DACA holders?

Noem: We follow all laws.

Durbin: Why did you deport them?

Noem: I don’t know the details.

Sen. DURBIN: You think branding victims like Alex Pretti as “domestic terrorists” calms the situation?

Noem: It’s a tragic loss of life.

Durbin: Is it so hard to say you were wrong?

Noem: I strive for facts.

Durbin: When you fail do you admit it? Will you now?

Sen. DURBIN: Your agents shot and killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Two American citizens. While their families struggle with these horrible tragedies, they have had to fight baseless accusations from you, after you falsely claimed they were domestic terrorists.

Sen. DURBIN: Madam Secretary, your DHS has operated without any moral compass or respect for rule of law. DHS agents have acted with unspeakable cruelty against children, immigrants, and American citizens.
