BBCodes and other rich text editor tooling, like post quoting, video embeds, and full markdown support now live!
Is.. is that good?
whenever we push code to update the app, we take it offline whenever there's data migrations needed to keep things tidy. You should see a "we're doing a release" blurb there if it breaks. It should come back within seconds.
Today’s backlog:
- bug fixes from roster.pub/feedback
- bbcode and markdown support, embeds, uploads, images
- new spaces index and discovery index
- custom avatars and emoticons

- E2EE pipeline: Device key encryption for contacts at rest, Signal session management, encrypted DM cache, sender key distribution for Spaces, safety numbers, key backup/restore. -- this should make the IM surface significantly more stable
- Signal Protocol hardening: Fixed prekey upload/fetch format alignment, signed prekey ID collisions, and error propagation during key init. Sessions are more reliable now.
- Community features: Feedback board, feature requests with voting
- Sidebar messaging: DMs now live in the sidebar instead of a separate page. Click a contact, start typing. No navigation, no context switch.
- Roster drawer: Your contact list is now a slide-out panel. Unified search across contacts, Roster directory, and Bluesky
