No, but I did see that one as well. I eventually tracked it down as a screenshot from a video where the camera flies up and over the terrain, which obviously makes it not a real image / video.
(Concluded that it was definitely computer-generated and possibly AI-generated)

This has been one of the wildest things for me. Before I started E I was like "I don't really have dysphoria in any meaningful way," but after (almost) a year and a half I can look back like yeah I kind of really did, actually, but just didn't know how to identify it.
Google Scholar will be sending me articles from such reputable "journals" as "Collection of scientific papers."
Though I would be surprised if this was the case given the number of places I continue to find the old name hanging out untouched.
It is, of course, alternately possible that I did this myself and just have no recollection of doing so, which would track.
Was filling out staffing availability yesterday and saw that my name had been changed, something that I cannot recall doing myself, suggesting that someone on the inside at JPL must have noticed and done it for me π₯Ή
The T.A. for my lab section was great. Very helpful and prompt, and the grading was fair too.
The TA was wonderful.
Finally got course evaluations back for my first lab teaching experience and needless to say I will be riding this high for the next week.

Honestly the one thing that's most seriously making me contemplate wandering off the academic/research path after finishing my degree... I love doing the science but I really hate the thought of spending so much time hunting down money to do the science.
2025 ==> 2026 as seen by the York Observatory all-sky camera.
This is the only time of year where I can walk into a room to discover Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen doing Heated Rivalry roleplay live on CNN.
Kudos to our project scientist who helps advocate for these every ~year when I think the view might work and we've got a little bit of energy and time spare in a plan. Doing the science on the day to day is important. Taking a moment now and again to do something just for art is important as well.
