As the UK’s HIV rights charity, we’ll continue to challenge stigma & discrimination wherever it is. Everyone should be able to live free of prejudice and discrimination.

This follows the UK-wide report – HIV services at the crossroads – which draws on evidence taken from more than 50 HIV-focused organisations across the UK, and more than 300 people living with HIV.
Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise services are greatly needed and valued in Northern Ireland by people living with HIV - but funding reductions have put these vital services at risk.

Sadly, this isn't a one-off. Our discrimination service has supported hundreds of people living with HIV who have experienced discrimination across healthcare & employment.
It is appalling that a serving police officer was discriminated against and placed on restricted duty because of their #HIV status.
National AIDS Trust's discrimination service provided support on this case to challenge the unfair and discriminatory behaviour of Gwent Police.

The evidence is clear: criminalisation of sex work increases the risk of #HIV transmission.
