I’m so envious of people who can just buy some presents and then land down to their parents house in the country and sit in front of the fire - that used to be me. Sincerely, treasure those Christmases while you have them, they can be lovely and god bless to all with shite Christmases x

Thankfully my girlfriend makes it nice and we can spend time together which is always a highlight but I’d much rather it just be a regular Wednesday with us sitting on the couch hanging out.

I used to love Christmas but now it’s just so much stress for various family reasons. Since my mother died it basically just immediately ceased to exist as any form of event and is now just a logistical nightmare and source of guilt and stress.

Been (attempting, COVID intervened twice) spending Christmases with him the past few years which can be unfortunately challenging.

The absolute stress of this Holyhead shite. Going over to London see my English uncle as he’s quite mentally unwell and alone and meant to be coming back on ferry with my Irish aunt who I was going to spend Christmas Day with. Now she might not be coming back at all and flights are v expensive.
