Made more progress on auto_layout_frame
Revamped the editor to look slightly more like Figma, I think I’m happy with it now ^^
Just gotta add more tests now and it’ll be ready for release 🥳🩵 #FlutterDev

Yes, but to just study and build locally, you don't need one
Maybe something that could be looked into after the decouple? 🙏💙
Having a default adaptive platform response on #FlutterDev MaterialApp that only uses ink on Android would be nice, and then an ink that is more like TappableOpacity on other platforms. It would remove a friction point with Material in Flutter. You can do it yourself already though 🙂💙
Still, even if the overlay colors are not 100%, just an ink factory MaterialApp defaults to on Apple devices, and why not Windows and Linux too, that mimics typical tap/hold, instant opacity overlays effect would be much better. Imo, by default, ink should only be on Android. 3/3
🙂💙
would need to set the ThemeData splash, highlight, focus, focus colors and also all the WidgetState overlay colors in all components defaults that don’t use these colors from ThemeData as fallback anymore in M3. Very tedious to do, I do it. Maybe just document right opacities is enough. 2/3
That would be a nice addition to built-in platform adaptive behaviour in the default MaterialApp theme. Maybe not the no splash factory though (has visual issues), a new one that mimics iOS tap opacity highlights as close as possible would be awesome. For an exact match, it … 1/3
Yes there is and that is cool. I gave a 30min talk about the decoupling of Material and Cupertino from Flutter SDK at Flutter meetup in Helsinki this Tuesday. Just a small local meetup, about 53 attendees. Nice event hosted by Elisa corp, @alesalv.bsky.social was one of the organizers.
I saw a few devs mentioning that #FlutterDev apps on iPhones typically have a give away because they use "MaterialApp" and ink splashes show up on iPhones. You can fix this in ThemeData, it can even be platform adaptive so you still have ink on Android, but not on iPhone! Imagine that😃💙
AI has replaced you as a developer
What you do now?
Honestly it has been so long and still nothing. Had they made this app in Flutter it would have been so simple. Although I assume it is so in RN too, so it feels really lazy 🦥
Came back here a bit, went to AppStore to get the app again for my iPad and I still get this garbage, why @bsky.app?
A vibrant gradient poster shifts from dark blue-purple on the left to red-orange on the right, featuring white neon-style outlines of abstract wing and plane shapes. At the top, the Flutter logo is centered above a banner that reads "Flutter Flight Plans". Large white text below declares, "Chart your course for the future of app development," followed by "November 12" and "11am PT" at the bottom.

A real pleasure meeting you irl Jamie, and fun talking about and sharing ideas for improving theming and styling of Flutter apps, not just the Material kind 🙂💙
Upgraded to an electric coffee grinder (MilCoffee DF54) from manual hand grinder. Thanks to @rydmike.com for his recommendation!
Sounds good 👍💙
In what way do you feel that they punish you?
In what way does your app differ in a better way? From eg HabitKit?
Just curious 🙂
Yeah, so nothing will happen 🤷♂️😅
Just published #1 in a ongoing series of posts about #minimal , this is about the UI state:

Theming #GoogleDesign #Material3 Chips in #FlutterDev is quite limited, I would even call it broken, as is theming of many other M3 components that have variant styles. Read more about these #Flutter issues here: 🙂💙
