Apple Is Working on an AI Music Tagging System https://www.macstories.net/linked/apple-is-working-on-an-ai-music-tagging-system/
The MacBook Neo is real!
8 GB of RAM, two configs, no MagSafe, runs on A18 Pro. Starts at $599.

all Notion
What I'm thinking of:
- Dedicated Claude Computer/Agent app (Claude app is too crowded now)
- "Personal" persistent virtual PC (Linux based) with built-in storage, browser, and keychain
- Ability to navigate between different "Topics" and private "mini apps"
- Tied to paid plan, plus usage credits
Something like Perplexity Computer feels like the right approach for a safer, virtualized alternative to OpenClaw.
However:
- Lack of mobile support
- Slow to navigate between projects
- Impossible to store credentials and secrets
Wouldn't be shocked to see a 'Claude Computer' next.

Awwwww yes 🙌
Of the apps I've built with Claude Code, one of the most useful is a tool that summarizes Apple press releases, downloads all linked images, unzips them, and uploads the ones I pick to our CDN, returning a MD link list. It makes it harder to miss details and avoids the hassle of managing ZIP files.
Web apps running locally for now
And in work-related news:
For years we've had *hundreds* of issues with Buttondown (our email provider) not syncing members from Memberful correctly.
I finally went ahead and built a tool for myself that is fixing thousands of mismatches. You can just build *productive* things now.
Today's AI experiment for the family:
I used OpenClaw + Codex + Notion to build us a little app to keep track of our dogs' meals for our home diet 🥺
iPhone 17e in pink with MagSafe looks pretty good, too!

New iPad Air with M4 just announced. Features 12 GB of RAM and starts at 128 GB of storage.
Nice, but definitely an unsurprising spec bump: www.macstories.net/news/apple-i...
Got a new design in Spotify for iPadOS with a new tab bar and right panel for Now Playing. Nice.

Today for the Club MacStories members, I wrote about why it's already time to start thinking of agentic coding tools like any other tool at developers' disposal and stop using 'vibe coder' as a put-down.

The last gen didn't really resonate with me, but after today's Pokémon Presents, I'm so unreasonably excited about the games again.

I wrote about how I used Notion custom agents and Codex to build the bookmark manager I've always wanted.
Plus, some thoughts on "malleable software": www.macstories.net/club/buildin...
Of all the companies that are building "Claws" now, I actually think the best positioned one to actually take on this category for work is Notion.
Give Notion Agents a native mobile app, perhaps a VM with Claude Code + persistent storage, and I could see myself use that a LOT.
OpenClaw with Telegram topics in a group (and multiple agents per topic, each with a model + thinking level) is the way to go. Fast, multimodal, and replacing so many apps for me.
Also using Codex 5.3 now, and I actually dig the vibes. @steipete.me truly building something incredible here.
A research preview from Anthropic lets you pull a Claude Code session from your Mac's Terminal session into the Claude app on iPhone, iPad, and other Macs.
