The High Court has confirmed what we all knew: proscribing Palestine Action was unlawful.
The state must stop using “counter-terror” powers to criminalise solidarity and intimidate working-class people out of protest.
The Labour government must lift the proscription now and drop every case NOW.
Bruce Fanjoy: Statement Regarding the Return to Office Policy February 9*, 2026 On February 5th, 2026, the federal government announced an updated Return-to-Office (RTO) policy for federal public servants. Today, I am calling upon the government to reconsider this policy for the following reasons: 1. The new RTO policy makes it harder to achieve the government's priorities of reducing the operating cost of government, improving affordability, and respecting the environment. Instead, it will cost both the government and citizens more and increase pollution. 2. There is little to no evidence that a one-size-fits-all RTO policy will improve productivity or service to Canadians. 3. The RTO policy makes it harder for public servants to balance work with other responsibilities. I believe Canada is better served by a hybrid model that balances a mix of in-office and remote work. The right balance is flexible and depends on circumstances. Done well, a hybrid model reduces the cost of government and benefits workers and all Canadians. poverty in Canada. An easy way to reduce government spending and protect jobs is to implement a Universal Basic Income which is estimated to cost $3b per year. See Senator Kim Pate’s excellent speech in the Senate advocating for UBI.
