If it helps, I read the book, love the book and have enjoyed the show a lot too.
Heated Rivalry is not just a great adaptation of a queer love story; it's also a pretty good show, too. And it's not easy to do both. Our review: https://fangirlish.me/3Xg6Og9
I'm so tired and sick and can I just sleep until Monday
If you want a perfect example of the aging up of YA fiction to appeal to adult readers at the exclusion of teen readers, it's getting rid of any references to the specific ages of the teen characters in the Six of Crows duology. www.tumblr.com/vilecemetery...
I know!
9-1-1 Season 9, Episode 4 'Reentry' is the end of our space emergency and a step forward for the 118 in their journey of grief. Our review: https://fangirlish.me/48WvDEO
I've spent too much time in the bad place lately hi hello people here
Is "exhausted" just the adult standard?
But mostly paranoia? I've taken your advice and now do it all the time.
I think if anything I would like to start with a world map. Like, some geography lessons. We don't talk about countries we cannot locate on a map.
Television Critics Association The Television Critics Association (TCA) condemns ABC's indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which is the latest in a series of actions aimed at silencing critics of the Trump administration. The Walt Disney Company's capitulation to the demands of the FCC chair this week represents a wanton disregard of the First Amendment's guarantee to a right for people and the press to speak without government retribution. TCA stands with the Writers Guild of America, which said in a statement it is "united in opposition to anyone who uses their power and influence to silence the voices of writers, or anyone who speaks in dissent," and SAG-AFTRA, which said this "is the type of suppression and retaliation that endangers everyone's freedoms." The government attempting to punish creatives, writers, and/or journalists for speech that officials do not like is authoritarianism. Corporations that profit from the words of television stars, writers, and journalists must defend their employees from governmental pressure, which is different from setting their own creative and editorial standards.

Freelance illustration gigs drying up. Ad agencies using Midjourney instead of hiring human artists. Costume design turned over to AI wholesale. Good work vanishing.
These are the stories of working visual artists, who describe losing jobs, wages, and hope as their clients and bosses embrace AI.
it's okay to take a break from how awful the world is if you need to
Google Calendar reminding you of an upcoming flight 10 minutes before it takes off when you're already on your seat is... Not helpful.
Bolstering Riefenstahl as a βgreat female directorβ benefits the Nazis far more than it benefits cinema. Itβs not unlike the ways that The Birth Of A Nation is heralded as technically groundbreaking at the expense of noting how it revived the KKK. The more that supposedly artful displays of racism and bigotry are spun as cultural landmarks, the easier we make it for those insidious agendas to go unchallenged.
Really interesting piece by @ceilidhann.bsky.social. www.avclub.com/riefenstahl-...
Is there any platform that's not Nazi backed or at least Nazi adjacent these days? π
#NCISTonyAndZiva premieres in two days! Before the premiere, I spoke to Michael Weatherly about when (not if!) we can expect romance, and what makes Tiva so special. www.tvguide.com/news/ncis-to...

Passwords that reset every 90 days are truly my villain origin story.
I just made one of those recipes that start with "blend cottage cheese" and I think I've unlocked adulthood.
Hey I like that too!
I have ten books on my bookshelf! Can you send me 3 more hours a day?
I've started making a point to read (actual books!) before bed and woah, why did I ever stop?
Bitsie Tulloch, our favorite Lois Lane, sat down with Fangirlish to talk about why Lois is so iconic and Rachel Brosnahan taking on the role in James Gunn's Superman! (And yes, that's a dog.) Read our interview HERE: https://fangirlish.me/40BF0ow
