What makes flying work for me is taking away any of the guesswork.

I planned it meticulously and had with me everything I needed .

The most important were my own headphones and books downloaded to listen and read.

Considering I’m American living permanently outside of my home country, I travelled a lot until recently.

I loved flying . But I also have #EhlersDanlos with accompanying #PoTS ( postural tachycardia syndrome) and as I got older travelling by plane became much much harder

Third American death linked to ice uncovered by Newsweek While the 23-year-old's death was reported in March 2025, it was not made clear that a federal agent fired the fatal shot.

That’s exactly how Renee Nicole Good was killed.

This 23 year old lost his life and ICE’s involvement was covered up for a year.

They’re killing people and hiding the evidence.

Maybe they're targeted with hate and revulsion not because of any protected characteristics, but because their lifestyle, worldview and/or self-presentation are at odds with dominant norms.

Belonging to a subculture might be a choice, but it's often a way for people to feel a sense of belonging.

Was this a hate crime? Not legally. Was it a crime of hate? Obviously.

So much of the time, bigots are not much bothered about the details of why or how someone is different; they're 'weird', and that's enough.

Maybe they're gay or trans, or neurodivergent. Maybe they don't even know themselves! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Listening to @robinince.bsky.social's Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal I'm reminded (repeatedly) of why Weird Pride is so needed.

Robin wears a badge saying Weirdo, partly in tribute to Sophie Lancaster, who was killed by a gang for being a goth, 'looking weird'.
