How are normal working people supposed to come up with that kind of money while already drowning in rent and commuting costs?

I can't support my Mommy anymore. I can't do the things that I love. All the fun in life is slowly draining away.

And if you do find a place...they want first, last, security, and a pet deposit just to move in. That’s basically the cost of a small car just to get the keys to a studio with less than 200 sq ft not including utilities or parking either.

And don’t even get me started on housing around Boston. $3k+ for a studio, almost nothing is cat friendly, and landlords act like anyone with less than a 700 credit score is some kind of liability.

I’m so fucking tired of end-stage capitalism. Working 80–100 hours a week, grinding through my degree at the same time, and commuting 2.5 hours each way just to barely crack six figures. I love the work I’m doing, but the cost of surviving in this system is starting to feel absolutely insane.
