Iβd rather have nice safe emotions about shows on the entertainment media; having them about things real-life humans said and did just led to stupid decisions.
Brace! Brace! Brace!
The fee decides the winner. In many scoring systems, low fee takes a disproportionate share of the score, resulting in the low fee winning so many points none of the other winners have a chance. A recent (ish) local project saw 5 shortlisted teams; 4 amazing, 1 compentent but definite meh 2/
What an honor to walk on this hallowed ground in Selma with some of the civil rights foot soldiers who marched here 61 years ago on #BloodySunday. We have so much to learn from the the moral power, and the physical courage, of the marchers who faced down Jim Crow on that day.
Yes, the next level of Ottawa Tool Yard success is having multiple locations.
Community focussed bar / cafe by day with community meeting room by night.
A version of supper works focussed on seniors and single people rather than 4+ families.
A reverse pawn shop. You rent things you need occasionally rather than needing to rent a storage unit
3D lab plus small appliance repair. An anti landfill business.
Another thing people don't realise when it comes to the time change is how our houses heat up in the summer. If we stayed on Standard time all year, you'd wake up to a much hotter house in the summer, although it would cool down (if it ever does) earlier. I'd rather wake up and ease into the heat.
How is it not skewed to have homeownership rates highest among 85+ year olds?
Yes, there's fewer of them, but would anyone say that wealth distributions aren't skewed on the grounds of "there really aren't that many billionaires?"

Many blessings to our Muslim neighbours during the holy month of Ramadan. Thank you to the Abraar School in #collegeward for hosting me at my first iftar. A central pillar of the Islamic faith is to be generous and charitable in your community, and to be reminded of our shared values buoys me up!
Thank you for the chat as always but especially for quotes from Jesse Jackson.

Beyond frustrating. It turns out starving the city budget has consequences - who would have thought.
Sgt. Cleroux was obviously beloved by the membership; I know several city councillors got to know him in their neighbourhoods. To those who knew and loved him, please accept my condolences. This article lists multiple resources that may be helpful if you're struggling.
