Their first studio album has a song called “Tenant Enemy #1”, ffs, and it’s not subtle.

Star Trek Voyager scene. Seven of Nine (tertiary adjunct of unimatrix 01) is pictured. She has a dolphin shaped metal robotic implant around her left eye because she is a borgs. Closed caption reads, "Fun will now commence."
It's the weekend, baby
Not in that library - it was up over the garage - but elsewhere in the house, yeah.
Framed black and white screenprint of small square-rigged ships in a high-walled harbor at night. Stars sparkle in the sky. The white ink has been streaked and patterned to suggest both waves in the water and texture to the rocks
(Also, yes, I did bring some home.)
Considering that the other really standout category at this particular estate sale was maritime art, especially antique maps and ships/beaches/lighthouses, I would not have been surprised.

Responsible for, so far, the founding of three states, one country, and a whole fuckton of universities - now taking on FIFA. I am *here* for this.
I kind of love that a single Massachusetts town is threatening to fuck up the World Cup
I *definitely* love that it’s because they don’t trust the Krafts further than they can throw them.
I have worked with a couple of people who’d do things like this in real life. They’d have given the croc indigestion.
But if you set your email up as IMAP, it should sync read count across any devices accessing the account, so making something read on the laptop should do so on the phone. Why would you make so much more work for yourself?
I didn’t even know you could *have* a thousand unread texts without your phone combusting.
My partner “manages” his email like that, and I can vouch that I *have* been tempted to fling his phone out a window.
I have the same kind of neurodivergent brain, apparently, because that dot was like a splinter stuck under my fingernail.
We don’t give people an option about seat belts any more because the evidence is so overwhelming, and the public good so apparent, that the state feels there’s no need to justify it.
Somehow, despite equal or more evidence and public good for vaccines, we rely instead on personal choice. Why?
I think this is critical - I agree with you; vaccinating kids *shouldn’t* be a choice for parents, any more than feeding them or using car seats or any other fundamental safety thing. But because it *is* left to parents as an option, the very presence of a choice makes people believe it’s debatable.
I am going to do something truly dreadful to the next person who uses “utilize” when “use” would work just as well (which is always, to be clear.)
Update: Having finally gotten inside, I see why people aren’t coming out. I would like to die in this library: 50% built-in bookshelves, 50% beautiful stained glass, giant overstuffed leather couches? Yes please.
New Orleans gets a pass because that’s a whole major regional thing - and there are many reasons I avoid western PA. 🤣
I’m at an estate sale where people keep going in but no one is coming out. I’m seriously starting to worry the house is eating people.
….well, now I know I must be pronouncing all of those incorrectly! 🤣
In Charlottesville, there’s a road that drives me nuts because it’s obviously “ree-oh” - spelled Rio and over/along the river - and all the locals say “rye-oh”.
In the DMV, it’s the entire damn town of McLean.

We turned away from the light when we invented a way to go online without the computer screaming in warning.
THE single most “we only do twitter and don’t understand bluesky” behavior, STILL, is people not posting the link to the actual news story in the first post in a thread. There is no algorithm here! Posts are not demonetized or restricted or downvoted or whatever because they have links!
Hey, so, we have some news about something that won't be happening in 2032.
The “come and take it” banner/meme, but instead of the Texan cannon under the star, it’s a Dunkin iced coffee
I think the snarky bsky haters may be getting to you. 🤣
I also dreamt I was taking notes on my shoe(?!) because I didn’t have any paper.
Presentation nightmares, public health style: I dreamt I had measles.
