Hey @stevedillon.bsky.social this is for historical reason, we've build our API before OFREP was a thing, now we are migrating one by one the different providers, but both are supported the same way.
We will most likely stay like this for a long time, so nothing you miss here.
We are continuing working on in process providers for server SDKs,.
Java ☕️ is almost done and .NET is on his way.
This is a really exciting step for GO Feature Flag 🙌
Today I was talking with some @gofeatureflag.org users and discovered that they have thousands feature flags in production.
They have built a full Flag as a service system for there 150+ teams using GOFF.
This is the kind of things that made my day.

Display the data in the UI is challenging, we are not there yet but this is a really good idea.

The OpenFeature Architecture diagram shows how OpenFeature is used for feature flagging within an app. The app in the picture owns a feature-flagging client that is used for flag evaluations. To show case OpenFeature the client in the image consists of the OpenFeature SDK and an OpenFeature provider. The SDK provides the flag evaluation API for the flag requests from the app. The provider is connected to an imaginary Flags-R-us service hosted somewhere else that stores the flag configuration.
