We will be giving a lightning talk at ATmosphere 2026! Come along to hear @makeworld.space and @udit.bsky.social talk about how provenance tools can be used by communities to restore transparency in a world of AI-generated feeds.

If you want to put perceptual hashes on ATproto, this is a draft spec explaining how to do that. Let's chat!

Have you noticed how some people have bad takes? Horrid!
Couldn't we empower them to engage with unfamiliar topics in an informed way? How do we make context travel?
In our latest dripline post, @literaryarsonist.press uses the 1700s as a lens to explore the structure of online discourse.
Bluesky is great, but do you ever feel like it has TOO MANY POSTS? Do you wish you could read it in 20 minutes over coffee? We built you a newspaper!
Did you know that you can share your @smokesignal.events RSVPs in your spores.garden? Who else is going to #ATmosphereConf 2026? π
I built something a little like this! It doesn't summarize into 300 words, but it does generate a cute little bespoke newspaper with custom sections, etc. I find it pretty useful at avoiding, yeah, the 30 minutes of peeling layers back. Watch out: it will RIP THROUGH your tokens.
Black text on a white background reading "Hypha Worker Co-operative gave support!" with a personal message "Appreciation for your awesome project."
We wouldn't have been able to build this feature (and many of our backlinking features) without @bad-example.com's fantastic work on Constellation! We think it's critical to back our stack, so we made a small donation to show our love. Thank you Phil!
A teal rectangle reading "This rare spore travels from garden to garden. Follow its journey!" above a pink outlined flower and a vertical list of other gardens. A black box at the bottom reads "capture the spore!"
When someone steals a spore, the client adds a record to that personβs PDS containing a backlink to the originatorβs garden. When clicked, spores.garden displays an ordered list of all the other records containing that backlink. See how this spore has travelled?
lexa.fyi's teal-coloured garden with a row of seven floral outlines of different colours.
When spores.garden generates your theme, it also determines if you get a special sporeβ¨. It will be displayed in your garden to start, but other gardeners can steal it, enabling it to travel throughout the network of gardens! Can you find any spores in the wild?
inspired by @hypha.coop's garden spores, read.pckt.blog generates unique blobs* for publications that don't have icons, seeded by the pub's rkey.
(*not the atproto kind lol)
Bluesky is ridiculously well-positioned for the agent internet. Everything signed = agents can build up un-fakeable reputations. newsletter.squishy.computer/p/llms-break...
Weβll add support for new ATProto record types as people make requests, but itβs an open-source project! π€ If you want to add support for a new record type, check out the documentation here: github.com/hyphacoop/sp...
"Add section" above eight teal rectangular buttons reading "profile", "bluesky posts", "custom content", "image", "smoke signal event", "standard.site article", "collected flowers", "load records" with a dark green button reading "cancel"
Add your writing, reposts, and records to your spores.garden! Hit the upper right EDIT to open up edit mode, then add sections at the bottom of your page. You can add custom content via Markdown or HTML, new images, or repost existing things from Bluesky, Leaflet, or Standard.Site, or Smoke Signal.
tsk tsk tsk
adding my own top secret spore mode to map.sky.boo mwahahaa
A dotted-line rectangle with text "+ADD SECTION" above a black button that says "SAVE CHANGES".
Not a blog, not a website builder, not a social media. Spores.garden is a cozy place to highlight whatever is important to YOU.
Write new posts, share images, and bring together your ideas from across the Atmosphere by editing and adding new sections to your garden.
Thanks to @literaryarsonist.press for this new spores.garden feature that enables adding posts to your garden by simply pasting their URL.
You can see this very post blooming at the top of my garden: spores.garden/@charlebois....
Humans are really good at recognizing an image even when it's been cropped, rotated, deep-fried, de-saturated, etc. Computers, in general, aren't as good: different bits=different image. Our latest dripline post discusses some techniques that allow computers to recognize similarity at scale
BUSINESS GOOSE HAS SPECIAL SPORE GO STEAL IT!!!
The @hypha.coop crew built spores.garden, along with a very nice write up "We built you a garden" hypha.coop/dripline/we-...
There are lots of great phrases in it, like "selecting and curating meaningful content is a way of reclaiming your humanity on the web"

Each square tile contains a stylized flower in different shapes and colors, with a username beneath it. The layout forms a multi-row gallery, visually representing individual users as unique flowers in a shared digital garden.
very nice to see you tending your spores.garden
