Some very light modifications to the UI elements, but it's about time I got to it. All the decorative items and backgrounds were way too flat for way too long

Wooow. They're pathetic.
Evil doesn't create anything new or how does the saying goes
I've been running gdcparties.com for a few years now. Some shitty company BlueberryAI decided they'd just take all the source code for the work I've done and reskin it, advertising it as their own. Jokes on them...it was still linked to my events spreadsheet, and now their website looks like this π
Uuuh. PopOs 24 update came out. Nice! So I thought. Now my drawing tablet doesn't work and things feel less responsive ://///
Well this sucks :////
imo playtesting should be in service of your vision, not deciding what the vision should be
Recently I got invited to join the new Godot UX team. When I have time I will be helping testing editor PRs and make Godot more usable for everyone.
What are some of the most annoying things about Godot UI/UX that you think need attention?
The mode switches (2d, 3d, script and assetlib tabs and everything else that is added by the plugins) feel like they should just be tabs alongside opened scenes. UE style where everything is a window/tab that can be moved, repositioned and resized
π THE GAME NARRATIVE KALEIDOSCOPE βοΈ is out NOW!
www.inklestudios.com/kaleidoscope
100+ essays on writing & narrative design, with articles from the writers of Baldur's Gate 3, Control, Call of Duty, Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, Sam and Max...
ALSO the Kaleidoscope Podcast with 2 full eps!
Would be interesting to hear/read more about this if you ever decide to publish your thoughts online, as gdc is a bit too expensive and travelling to US feels like a risk right now
Decisions decisions. Thinking between getting an indie both at Digital Dragons and buying a regular conference ticket + steam deck for the same price. I doubt I'll get much attention from publishers, so gathering feedback it is. A booth would be easier for that. But I'd get to keep the deck
Honestly, very nice that you are doing this!
Ziplines were my favourite thing to use in the game. I managed to build a whole network of them in the late game and it was so much fun just zooming around the places
Honestly? Utter insanity. Replacing actually thinking about what could do well in the market with blindly following statistics and refusing to pull the head out of the sand
I work in an indie incubator space and so many of the more experienced devs/teams are DYING to help people, but those in need are often too scared/intimidated to ask. Don't be, just ask!
Scam message saying "MyO2: We couIdn't process your Iatest biII. Please update your payment detaiIs here: https://my02uk-details.com to avoid service interruption or extra fees."
Got this scam message. I know it's a scam because I don't use O2 as a service provider (the breathing tho). However, every link checking website on that I used on the link said it's safe. The only thing that I managed to flag was that the domain was registered 2 days ago. Don't rely on them too much
Absolutely hated that room. Too stressful πππ
My tired eyes looked at this, saw the shape and the layout and the very first thought I had was "Wait, is that Godot?"
Recently I participated in #GlobalGameJam as a designer and together with some great folks created a tabletop game, which was a first for me! I really enjoyed it!
The rules, card info, pictures, a trailer and additional notes are in my portfolio!

Looks mighty impressive!!!!
And remember kids, the purpose of the system is what it does and not what it fails to do
Reminder hereβs some adobe alternatives, Because FUCK ADOBEβ¦.
Me getting trojans on my family pc just to get the cursor to look like armadyl godsword or an abyssal whip
Reminds me of a trend on Facebook many years ago to post one's childhood photo and how they looked like now with a hashtag. Iirc people realised it was most likely used for AI training material gathering
Finally! After two weeks my phone's battery got replaced! Hopefully this time it will hold better! As the previous replacement, had my phone turning off at 30% on few occasions, while also usually dying within 10 minutes when reaching 20%
Hey there! I've written a new post about narrative design in some of the multiplayer games that I have played! It was quite the challenge, since the topic is very broad, but I had fun! What do you think? marantis.dev/2025/10/25/n...
A very cute but forlorn looking brown and white puppy with big eyes and floppy ears, sitting on a forest themed blanket. Facebook post message: βCentral PA Humane Society: Susan from Accounting is a 4 month old female. We were told she is a Beagle/Australian shepherd mixβ
BREAKING: This dog is named Susan From Accounting
I often think about Jonathan Cooper's posts about TLOU2, that the studio ran out of seasoned game animators because its reputation was so bad and thus had to hire film folks who had to be taught how to put games together.
greatest steam update of all time, because of one unnecessary detail
If Discord goes public and gets enshitified to hell I guess a bunch of small communities around older games or projects might disappear and with them probably a lot of useful information. At least I hope they successfully migrate back to public forums
