IETMS has been deployed widely across the US (minus the eastern seaboard). It has issues but the freights are largely happy with it. We might see places like Chicago push for something better in the long term as they look to increase passenger traffic density.

There is no “PTC” system. There are a handful of different systems deployed around the US, IETMS being the most common, but there’s also ACSES, ITCS, and even CBTC systems deployed as PTC.
He was someone who genuinely cared, wanted and worked to fix the wrongs of his past, and was a really nice guy. My interactions with him were limited, but he took me seriously despite me being a nobody, and was incredibly kind.
Man. I wrote an investigative piece about QAnon for my high school paper and Brennan gave me, a high schooler, hours of his time in interviews and emails. He tweeted kindly about me once months later which meant the world. RIP.
