The brightness, most of all, makes it seem fresh and alive. The oak rounds it off while the floral aromatics are completely enticing.

This is a top producer in the Lisboa region--a good calling card here.

14%, $45-ish

This 2013 Touriga Nacional remains fresh and supple, silky and laced with blue fruits. Mostly easygoing at this age, it still wakes up with air, shows some bite and improves notably. In fact, it seems gloriously young, sensually textured and vigorous at times.

Now, do Stephen Miller, Joseph Goebbels. 🫣

Republicans are used to lying through their teeth and selling propaganda. They are in fact very good at it. It is the only thing they do well.

I think they are surprised that they are unable to sell this. We'll see if that remains true. And if so, maybe their games have finally reached an end.

Exactly so. Nothing ever seems to stick. My favorite is when Republicans in office every time run up the debt, run up the deficit, cut taxes for the rich, blow up the military budget and when they're out of office they pretend to be the party of fiscal responsibility. And they sell that.

The sad truth is, for a lot of Americans this isn't real until their kids are drafted. Then it's real.

The moral of the story is, to get a big contract, you need to demonstrate maturity not just talent.

08.03.2026 22:19 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I was just thinking that myself. I mean, what would we expect to get from the Republican Congress as directed by Donald Trump anyway?

France. Are you aware, were you cognizant of the fact, that they do not even like American cheese? This is where such arrogance leads.

So the 800 lb gorilla in the room... Could it be in Davis they saw someone maturing, working hard; and in Carter, they are still not sure that maturation will ever happen? You can't blame Carter for the injuries, but he often seems to be a knucklehead. Do they want to give that guy a big contract

Luca stays in control. That seems important. The parent company, Zonin, I'm told, had been rocked by a bunch of scandals. This may be for the best

A Philly β€˜wine fight’ is playing out in court as 2 schools battle over cyberbullying and a trademark PhillyWine LLC alleges in a federal lawsuit that the duo behind the Wine School of Philadelphia tried to confuse customers and profit from PhillyWine's prestige.

Here is a gift link. Hopefully, it works.

A very interesting article. Like many locals, I know or know of a lot of the players.

The raw emotion is amazing, noting that many of the actors crying in the Marseillaise scene were actual refugees from Nazis.

Psst. Seen Citizen Kane?

I don't find that so bad, IF the purpose is to increase someone's knowledge of the wineries/regions they're supposed to know & sell, and assuming no commitment to buy MSW products after

The old stories of major companies bribing stores to block displays from smaller companies--that's another level.

We used to have this word: "Presidential"

It used to mean something.

I still remember alt.food.wine when I was a young collector in the late 80s. But what does he mean by "you wouldn't be in my top eight"--top eight what? The rest is pleasing fury with a welcome dose of reality. πŸ˜„

Going back decades, I've heard small importers, retailers and others name names on sleazy practices re: various big companies. I thought/hoped that was a thing of the past. I guess we'll see.

And short term results aren't the final answer. Of course, the USA can go up against Iran or Venezuela, absorb a few blows and push on through.

But that's not the final answer in asymetrical warfare. From Vietnam to Afghanistan to America's own Revolutionary war, we should know this by now.

So the "no regime change," & "no more wars" maga movement has come down to this... Should we mention Venezuela?

I presume if you add them to the Democratic vote, Ds should win 75/25 in November.

Assuming they have any principles.

You know at a certain point, it isn't that much extra money to just create your own domain and get a very basic website.

If the site starts developing a lot of traffic and you need a better plan, it is easy to pay for a better plan when your site is already demonstrating that it is paying off.

A touch, indeed. It can get bad, but this was reasonable and seems to have typicity.

Like you, I like the fresher, low-alc style.

Most of all, it's silky & surprisingly fresh with a juicy finish.

It's on the thinner side, but it's beautifully balanced, a perfect food wine.

12.8% alcohol. $40-ish
