Well, in the future, the load will be spread thanks to Federation, but I do agree that the main instance will probably still be relatively large. However, I am not taking into account the other revenue streams that they have.
This is just *one* of them. in ~4 days.
that and through Visionary he's gotten ~85K in funding which will be PLENTY to put work full-time into fluxer :)
but with all these new eyes on the project, I bet some will start contributing to the software to improve it, too
To be fair, it isn't maintained entirely by one person, I've seen other people around in the main community with roles indicating they're part of the team
