Just found out I have medium severity sleep apnea. I wonder how long Iβve been living life on hard mode.

Found an opportunity to contribute to Yesod. Pretty cool!
If you have no idea what this means but are remotely curious youtu.be/fBYN08ugw6c
Currently working on whip + up on both hands, itβs super hard.
Started doing the full Moeller strokes today (whip, tap, up). The efficiency is crazy. I canβt wait to learn how to do with both hands playing 16th notes at any tempo.
Was able to recognize wrist tension in my drums practice today. Progress!
Itβs also the smallest barrier to entry. Nothing to install. Literally follow a bot.
Made good progress on the BlueSky version of Music Monday. I chose to do that first because I think it will help grow a following and see if people actually like it.
Ride share that dropped me off is now picking me up. I donβt think that has happened to me before.
Pick up flossing as a habit, thank me later.
First day back from leave: this is chaos, how did I do this?
Second day back from leave: okay, I remember how to do this.
Do you push code mongo or regular?
Book cover of "Designing Data-Intensive Applications, 2nd edition". It has a similar wild boar on the cover as the first edition, but it uses O'Reilly's new cover design, and the boar is now slightly colourised.
The second edition of Designing Data-Intensive Applications, by myself and @chris.blue, is finished and sent off to the printers! Ebooks should be available in the next week, and print books in 3β4 weeks. Sigh of relief. π
(BTW, this is a good opportunity to support your favourite local bookshop!)
I really hope this isnβt my brain going βyour sick and you can smell, thatβs weirdβ
I have this sickness right now where my smell sense is enhanced? Does anyone else have this?
Also, for clarity, I really liked the book! It was my springboard into Haskell. It isnβt βreal worldβ Haskell which is the only issue. That was addressed by @welltypedwit.ch alreadyβ¦ go build stuff :)
I did the entire book, but if you are already familiar with functional programming and type classes you can probably skip a bunch of it.
I think Iβll do BlueSky support next for Music Monday. The choose from followers idea seems more fun that spinning up Discord support.
I just added support for Apple Music links to musicmonday.app, want to become a beta tester?
Perfect album and thank you!
Could any non-US Apple Music users share an album link with me? I'm mainly looking to see if the path is the same shape as the US one.
Today we sold our Peloton for authentic Dominican take-out. Who got the better deal?

Yup! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photic_... found this when my cousin and I walked outside once and both sneezed. We both asked each other simultaneously βDo you always do that?β
I wonder if people think Iβm crazy when I say βThe sun makes me sneezeβ.
Ahh, okay, so according to Slack's own docs docs.slack.dev/slack-market... we need a few beta testers before I could even make it public.
It currently supports Spotify, Tidal, and YouTube Music links but I'm open to adding more services for obvious reasons.
The application is not yet approved by Slack so I'll work on that next. If you are willing to try it out, click "Install" on the web page and it should bring up instructions. The next "Music Monday" is at 9:00 AM ET on... Monday. Hope to see some installs before then π
I've done enough testing that I think it is time to release musicmonday.app to you all. This is currently a Slack application written in #gleamlang which is installed into a channel and selects a random user (who hasn't been selected before) to suggest an **album** for everyone to enjoy.
Yup! I read instructions on the tin and my post is not relevant. Thanks
