Does your game need music that reminds you of the era when you first learned what Redbook Audio was? I'm your man. Let's talk!
I've got a new one up for #bandcampfriday if'n yer interested
coniferouscollage.bandcamp.com/track/mellow...
ALSO!!!! @pnwpotato.bsky.social has been working on some extremely good music for a while now. I've been helping with mixing/mastering and light production but they've been making fantastic downtempo electronic music and while I'm obviously biased I do strongly recommend it.
uhhhhhhhhh
I heard you like
R4: Ridge Racer Type 4
Statistically there's probably at least one person out there who hasn't heard this yet, right?
#BandcampFriday
thanks again, Alex!! π

It was cool, Too Me, at the time!
It was exciting, because even by 2005, Tony Hawk 2x already felt nostalgic because of how intensely Early Xbox its menus and stuff are.
Hey, I shouldn't have generalized!
But yeah man, it's hideous!
They probably *could* have done something with blinx? But I think those games are entirely too damn weird to be mascot mass appeal material. They're like, spiritually akin to Artdink PS1 games.
I dunno, I think it was kinda just a video game, and the character happened to have extreme sega genesis energy. I don't recall any marketing push for blinx whatsoever. I bought it cause I saw it on the shelf at EB and went "that looks weird". No one I knew had heard of it either.
I got the impression as an xbox-having kid that they were trying really hard to play catch up, like they were speed running a 20 year brand development in 5.
Waves of new design languages applied consistently once, and never again. Demo disc menus, XSN branding, controllers, 1st party key art style
this also applies to @harris.zone, but just like. In general.
YOU ARE NOT ABSOLVED OF YOUR SINS, HARRIS!!
Mother put her hands over her face and completely disappeared. This degenerate nihilistic storytelling is killing our culture. Oh! But wait! Mother has returned! This redemptive hopeful storytelling is leading us to utopia!
In this case it was pundits remarking flippantly on the populations of surrounding areas; Iraq, Gaza, Kuwait, Egypt, et alβeveryone caught in the splash radius. But you're absolutely right, it's a dehumanization machine for all of west Asians in general. Arabs, Persians/Fars, Kurds, Turks, everyone.
Right people, share this post around!
Iβll select someone in the next 24 hours and gift them the album on Bandcamp.
Letβs go! Share, share, share!
Celebrate real music, say no to AI slop!
They're playin the hits

Watching all the big important serious media people spin up the old Arab Dehumanizer 2000 machine again in real time is cracking my brain like an egg. I can't take this shit, man.
Woah, sehr toll! GlΓΌckwunsch!
I've been trying so hard to get into it but the actual moment to moment is just doing nothing for me :(
