When I approached a business district group about cars in bike lanes in front of a children’s hospital, I was told responsible parents take our kids to appointments in a car.

Right! Museums recognize people are going to come there on transit and have a bag. They have lockers or a staffed check desk. Why not have these at every public place that doesn’t want you bringing in a bag?

There is a legal provision in immigration law that someone married to a US citizen can stay in the US while there visa is pending. Immigration officials have long recognized it to allow residency during the wait time. The DHS has just stopped following this part of the law.
That time when I took a professional exam in a major city and was told I could only bring in my ID and must leave everything else “in your car.” No one could answer what to do for someone with no car. Ended up taking the train there and just stashing cash and a house key in a pocket but WTF?
