Has anybody checked in with our vaunted PHO Bonnie Henry about the health effects of BC’s decision to switch to permanent DST?
Who’s giving the mayor the advice to keep this very damaging (for him) issue on the front burner for another day?
Was it his initiative?
Vancouver politics is weird but this is terrible strategically, especially considering he took only a handful of questions

I personally prefer permanent DST I just thought it was very on brand for the BC government not to consider new information that may have arisen in the 7 years since the legislation was passed
Just think—if the BC govt followed the science we’d be on ST already and wouldn’t have to go through the change even one more time
Or they live outside the narrow swath of latitude that permanent DST would actually benefit? And who cares about science anymore anyway?

The paltry financial benefits of an expanded Parq casino will be paid for disproportionately by Vancouver’s most vulnerable gamblers and cynical ABC councillors are okay with the harms this will cause. Remember this at the polls
I heard that + I knew what she meant so it didn’t bother me that much—although if it were me I would like to be corrected so I didn’t make that mistake again. I understand not all would. I am bothered when a reporter makes a similar mistake though because accuracy is part of the job description
