60 is a remarkable age. Your first 30 years you can't conceive of what's going on – you can't really understand the school year ending though you know about it intellectually. At 60 you've done 30 twice, and you know you only have 30 left to you – if you are even that lucky.
Someone suggested that with the outages in the Middle East that some networks are taking time to rec converge, so maybe that’s it. Traffic is slowly picking back up to normal levels. #DefCon #Tor
Looking at traffic patterns on #DefCon WWW, P2P, #Tor, DNS, and this Mastodon instance for the past 24 hours and everything is down. Traffic and queries.
Overall network traffic seems lower / slower. Anyone tracking how the internet is holding up?

#MastoAdmin reminder if you are running on SSD. Linux has atime enabled by default, so to reduce wear consider turning it off with “zfs set atime=off yourpoolname”

Ever evolving #Singapore, CNY / LNY started a couple days ago but today #Muslims start their fasting month. The supermarkets have switched from red & gold to green & gold decorations, and the featured food from oranges to dates.
I saw this video on Reddit, I’m curious how it calculates “cups” and is cups a good proxy for productivity? Obviously the person running the espresso machine will have the most. It reminds me of the (inaccurate) adage “If you can’t measure it, it doesn’t exist”
