You know what I want for my birthday this year? For @guerrilla.bsky.social to drop the third #Horizon game! Ha, wishful thinking, I guess.
I just finshed watching #TheyClonedTyrone and enjoyed it immensely. More of this kind of movies, please!

It's been just over a year since leaving Dark Horse and I've grown a lot as a freelance editor. I'm really eager to get back to editing more comics and graphic novels this year, especially for authors in the indie space.
If you are crowdfunding or self-publishing please reach out for a chat!
I'm not a live service or multiplayer person so the new #Horizon iterations wouldn't be for me regardless, but the art style of the new one really irks me. It looks barely anything like Horizon and it would've been so much better if you could recognize the tribe they're from with a glance.
Hell yeah, am I gonna enjoy this weekend!

I am not sure I'll be able to finish my 2025 r/fantasy Book Bingo card before the deadline, I still have some books to go and I don't read as fast as I used to
The Atlantic Magazine just dropped a tremendous story on the Minnesota Resistance. The author is a war correspondent & sees the echoes of leaderless community empowerment around the globe: www.theatlantic.com/politics/202... (supposed to be a gift link, might not work, itβs in Apple News, too.)
Why is the Youtube search function so gorram horrendous???!!!!

I read Dreamsnake by Vonda N. McIntyre for the βParent Protagonistβ square of the r/fantasy Book Bingo 2025. It was my first experience with this author. Plot: Snake is a healer who travels the post-apocalyptic wastes of Earth with her three snakes Mist, Sand and Grass to aid her. Whenβ¦

Review: Spin the Dawn by ElizabethΒ Lim
Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim is the first book in The Blood of Stars duology, and the first book I've ever read of this author. I was looking for a book to read for the 'High Fashion' square for the r/fantasy Book Bingo 2025, and this was mentioned in theβ¦

Edited my cover letter and synopsis for the manuscript I finished editing during my Christmas holiday. It was already draft 8, but draft 9 is the final draft.
In this Year of Reading, a gentle reminder:
The best way to get your kids reading is to let them see *you* reading. The way to *stop* your kids reading is to criticize their choices, or to make reading a competition, or a punishment, or a race, or a learning tool. Let it be fun. Let them read.
Review: To Be Taught, If Fortunate by BeckyΒ Chambers
Iβd never read anything by Becky Chambers before, but Iβd heard good things about her writing, so I decided on reading the novella To Be Taught, If Fortunate for the βA Book in Partsβ square of the 2025 r/fantasy Book Bingo to get a taste. I wasβ¦
I hope that 2026 will be a better year for me when it comes to writing. After my burn out a few years ago, my writing has never been the same when it comes to quality and volume. It's almost as if I am too tired still to be creative like I used to be. So here's to hoping!
A promo graphic for the 2025 Holiday Megasale. More than 300 authors, over 650 books free or .99. To benefit the Mary Cariola Center.
A black cat on an orange rug, and a paperback of Iron Truth. Shamelessly using my cat to promo my book. That works, right? :)
It's time for the r/Fantasy Charity MegaSale!
