Crazy that a benevolent multi-billionaire hasn’t simply bought and endowed a newspaper as a pure philanthropic endeavor. It’d be an inexpensive way to build a perpetual legacy.

What happens when senior U.S. leaders don’t understand that the Ayatollah wasn’t just a political figure for Shias

A regressive result, especially since the research suggests that American consumers and American firms split the burden of tariffs nearly equally.

Katyal’s position is that it should be refunded to his corporate business clients with interest β€” interest that’ll be paid by ordinary taxpayers

Ironic that David Gelernter wrote that 18-year-olds are too young to vote, while cavorting with Jeff Epstein

As one of the many who read the work of the Post’s climate desk, I’m sincerely sorry for you and your colleagues. A lot of folks out there feel that way.

Shamelessly held on for far longer than he should have. An exemplar of the culture of impunity among the world’s most powerful people that we need to account for when we fix the mess we’re in.

The fawning and unskeptical tone of this article is quite something. Taking everything said by the Administration at face value is not journalism.

Bovino exercised real power because he is cruel and wanted to self-aggrandize. He deserves to be prosecuted as a principal.

Bovino isn’t disappearing β€” he’s just headed to the next city. Time for that city to learn from Minnesotans.

I trust that the community will never forget those businesses who stepped up in this time. May they prosper in a better tomorrow.

SILVER SPRING, MD – The American Nurses Association (ANA) is deeply disturbed and saddened to learn of the death of Alex Pretti, a registered nurse, in Minneapolis earlier today. We extend our condolences to Alex’s loved ones, colleagues, and the community at large.

ANA condemns violence in our communities. The seriousness of this incident and others demand transparency and accountability. ANA calls for a full, unencumbered investigation, and urges that findings be shared promptly and clearly so Alex’s loved ones and the public have answers.

One in four nurses already experience workplace violence. As incidents with federal law enforcement continue to rise across the country, we are deeply concerned for the safety of nurses, both on the job and in the communities they serve.

Nurses are advocates for the safety and well-being of their communities. They enter this profession to heal, to protect human life, and to show up for people in their most vulnerable moments. ANA remains committed to preventing violence in the workplace and in our communities, and to advancing meaningful protections that safeguard healthcare workers and the public.

I was one of Alex's nursing faculty at MCTC. This is simply devastating. He was a good student and I knew he'd be a good nurse. Im so sorry for you and his VA family. May his memory be a blessing and an example of what a nurse is.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

White. Hot. Rage.

Using the word "insurrection" is a very deliberate choice.

He tries to protect another demonstrator, deescalates by separating the other demonstrator from federal agents, and gets murdered for doing so?

Unconscionable.

Makes me wonder how much the techbro accelerationists like Thiel and Andreesenβ€”who want crises that help their ilk consolidate powerβ€”are driving the Administration’s wrecking ball tactics.

I feel like the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting--where twenty children and six educators were killed--marked a turning point.

The Republican Party decided it would no longer pretend to care about how many people were killed using guns. It essentially crossed the Rubicon toward not giving a damn.
