And there is no vaccine that is 100% effective.
If measles is going around because too few people are vaccinated, some vaccinated people will get sick. And some will experience serious complications.

This is such short-sighted thinking. What about the babies who are too young to get vaccinated? The immunocompromised for whom vaccines are less effective? Breakthrough cases of vaccinated people. Public Health officials cannot give up so easily on trying to educate people as this person can.

I did something new in my writing-intensive Paleoecology capstone this year: I'm making them read books. I gave them a list of books to choose from, and they turn in reflections on the material and also the writing.
It has been a joy to watch these students discover a love of reading nonfiction.
