It is difficult, as a Jew whose family was massacred in the Holocaust, to watch people come to this realization. Millions of us died because of people like this. The Holocaust was not that long ago! People have not evolved out of racism and bigotry. Folks like this will always live among us.

People (especially Americans) assume the worst when they have minimal information. This is further fueled by an administration that thrives on misinformation and invoking rage.
This feels like fears of voter fraud. People are furious about a threat of others taking advantage of a system, when in reality, the threat only exists so those in power can build hateful, racist policies.
Since COVID, the number of people with disabilities has grown an amount we cannot understand.
I've been a writer for 3 product areas, traveled to 20+ global offices, and spoken to countless developers about docs. I'm most proud of the friendships that became IRL friends.
For the good (and bad), I'm glad to be here and try and make my tiny part of the web ecosystem a little bit better. (2/2)
Today marks 7 years at Google. I was shocked to get a response to my application, shocked they wanted an interview, then devastated I was offered a position requiring me to take a 20% salary cut. It took 4 more months to get a new offer, another 4 to start. In total, the process was 13 months. (1/2)
