For me I only have one Gen-z co-worker. The rest are gen-x and millennials haha
It's so exhausting to have to help people with iPhones everyday for 8-9 hours. Especially when it's always clueless Gen Z and Boomers doing simple things on their phones. It's like helping family members with phones for your entire work day. That's why I'm burned out to keep up with messages.
Also VR or VoIP servers are good, but it varies when I'm online. I'm on Resonite these days, but you can drag me into VRChat if you want. I'll use Discord for some VoIP stuff, but I will use Fluxer more when it's stable.
But yeah, texting everyone is so hard when my time is limited. I can't do it.
I'm sorry for struggling to respond to messages. I'm working hard to get promoted so I can buy a new car. Talking to people via text is my LEAST favorite way to communicate and I struggle to keep up when I am so busy IRL. If you want to talk more, voice message or call me. I can't keep up otherwise.

I hope he can finally rest easy after such a fight. He was such an incredibly sweet person and never failed to make me laugh or smile. Losing someone like him at such a young age is so tragic. He will be missed...
It is with the heaviest of hearts that I share this. Today I got word from the family of Aledaroth, that he has passed. He has been fighting stage 4 cancer for roughly the past five or six months.
He was possibly the kindest and sweetest soul I've ever known. We will all miss him greatly.

I've been talking about this with a few groups. On bsky, I've seen reports of Discord walking back things, while seeing some people swear off stoat or fluxer for some LLM use. People need to see the core impact and risks that Discord has on society. This video is scary, but informative.
They have a guide on their site how to install it as a iOS webapp. Basically you'll use safari to install it and it will behave like a normal app. You can enable notifications too.

I see frustration for Stoat and Fluxer using LLMs, and it's valid. But what frustrates more is that there's ZERO conversation of Discord openly supporting AI use while also working with major AI surveillance companies like Palantir. LLMs suck, but this is far worse for society.
