The one swap along these lines that I’ve stuck with is using unflavored Greek yogurt for anything that calls for sour cream. It’s the same flavor/texture/density with more protein and less fat.

WWII vet turned steelworker and union organizer. Founded a clean air watchdog group. Ran for state office.

I like how the end credits of Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes showed how they had to have whiteboards on set, sketching out what was true and happening during the take they were working on.
I think Jaws 2 actually lays into this harder.
Oh, definitely. The blog post is giving me a bunch of ideas. I think the next step is for me to vibe out a VSCode plugin prototype.
This reminds me of an idea I had years ago where instead of code being a long, loosely structured text document, it was instead a beautifully typeset PDF. It would enforce code quality and structure through visual design, but under the hood it’s still your normal runnable code.
Desperate Measures is underseen and underrated, so look out for that one.
Heh, I *just* listed to the Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead (1991) episode of your podcast yesterday where you talked about aging from Kelly Bundy to Peg Bundy in leopard print spandex.
I just want it on my codebase(s), so that it can stop doing a million tool calls for context/planning. Just have the codebase as part of the weights.
I want this for my codebase(s). Cut down on the amount of tool calls to read various files because the codebase is just embedded in the weights.
🧠 Claude can you get the non-EPUBs from Anna’s Archive in EPUB format?
A social network and anyone can invite a friend—but the moment it hits Dunbar's number (~150) it splits into two groups with people assigned randomly to each, and the process repeats.

You don’t, actually, need an ID to check out a book. Maybe read one sometime?
silver lining to the internet being busted is that I am turning to books even more than I was before, libraries rule, as does my city’s assortment of weird used bookstores
Top: Scrooge, from below, shouting down from his window "You there, boy! What day is it?" Bottom: Jason Voorhees, from above, looking up.
Species II. In some ways, it’s the platonic ideal of a sequel: do everything the first movie did, but do *more*. It’s sleazier, it’s gorier, it’s WTFier. The first one at least tried to be grounded. This one has missions to Mars and characters out of a Metal Gear game.
I think I prefer the sequel, but I really enjoy both of them. One of those “they could never make this today” movies, but only because it’s premised on a job that barely exists today.
No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.
Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
As a librarian, this sucks. It was such a good factual resource.
But who needs facts these days, I guess.
It ended up writing its own skill for doing trello management based on what it knew of the trello API. That was wild.
I’ve installed some skills through skills.sh, but I’ve had to manually copy them all over because skills.sh doesn’t support lettabot yet.
Epstein’s economic power among academics was made possible by a capitalist system that makes higher education dependent on the charity economy rather than a public good supported by taxing the rich
My 5th grader has to read a 400 page novel for a school project at the moment. I’m having her read along with the audiobook, because it’s a technique that worked well for me in college. I’m noticing her retention of character and plot details is a lot better using this method.
I just brain dump into slack and/or trello and it’s off to the races. And I set this up in an afternoon.
Okay, this is so fucking rad. I have an agent that is monitoring a trello board every heartbeat, grabbing a task, doing some kind of research/evaluation/exploration/summarization, dropping the work product in the Trello task comment and moving it to a complete board when it’s done.
This Nazi ghoul is talking about North America (minus Mexico) + Western Europe + Australia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western...
I’m going to throw it on a cheap VPS today. Wish me luck.
