Judging by this picture, they were also washed regularly!

GNSS RAIM, ADS-B, and Space Weather (SWx) Prediction to the airline industry, dabbles with Swift and iOS development, work-at-home dad, 3x Rhodesian Ridgeback & 1x Lagotto Romagnolo owner. Lincolnshire, UK.
Judging by this picture, they were also washed regularly!
Fab place.
Camped overnight there for my Duke of Edinburgh award - way back in about 1986, I think.
Lincolnshire climate leadership reversed
Lincolnshire goes from national leader to climate change blocker despite the science not changing and local impacts getting worse

I read that too; people inheriting properties that they canβt sell due to age restrictions.
Legal protections are about occupancy, not ownership.
If I couldnβt sell it, Iβd try to rent the property - but Iβm sure the estate management would try to prevent that too, claiming a sub-let is not allowed.
Madelsonβs husband also received Β£10k to pay for medical bills; did this payment and M sending info to E happen at about the same time?
I wonder did E βpayβ M for this info?
I can get by in French but for anything complicated I have to think in English, translate in my head, then speak - painfully slow.
When I worked in Brussels I tried to have a "French Fridays" so that we could all try to improve our French - it didn't last and sad to say I was probably the reason!
wrt dogs, many (most??) vet practices will say that costly annual vaccinations for leptospirosis and every 3 yrs for distemper and parvovirus is essential.
Giving the "primary course" is essential but annual titre testing and only boosting when immunity drops is way cheaper and better for the dog.
"Next soft question, to boost my fragile ego, from my planted stooge at, [check notes], the Telegraph."
I worked in Brussels, mixed nationalities (BE, FR, DE, ES, IT, GB) at the office, most spoke 2 languages - English being common.
One of the guys (the Belgian) found languages easy being fluent in FR, NL, DE, ES, EN, and could get by in IT and was effortless holding a multi-lingual convo!!! Amazing.
About 15 yrs ago ~90% of vet practices were independent; today about 45% of vets are independent, rest rest being owned by the βbig sixβ corporate groups. In that same period vet fees have increased by about 60% - compare that to the increase in CPI for the same period of between 30-40%.
In relation to the UN report mentioned, Amnesty International made a press release about too.

Almost identical situation here, just without sedation for the sensitive dog that hates fireworks. Wife will be in dog calming/soothing duties a little later.
Just collecting our curry and is an hour wait; does give time for a cheeky pint or though.
Happy New Year π₯³
Where was this advice this morning when I needed it!
:) Yep, those muscle memory terminal commands need to be rewired. On the command line you are Unix/Linux territory now. LOL
The top-level stuff I have installed with Homebrewβ¦
Other things you might want to look at.
Install a βbetterβ terminal app; I use iTerm2 with zsh and OhMyZsh.
Not all apps that you will need are available via the AppStore so look at Homebrew package management - for all the apps that you will need but donβt know it, yet!
Mac with a mouse setup the way you want it is nice. Use the Appleβs Magic Mouse and you get the benefit of finger gestures too.
Take the step to using a trackpad for warp-speed like using a four/finger swipe to switch between desktops. :)
Merry Christmas!π
Aside from enjoying some quality time with family, my main responsibilities today are to cook a massive rib of beef, βlow βnβ slowβ, on the BBQ - should take about 4hrs; and to make the Yorkshire Puddings.
A famous example of desire paths would be The Oval at Ohio State University.

Same here.
Monday is the new Tuesday!
I only figured this out when dropping g my daughter off at work for her early shift and spotting all the neighbours bins being left out.
For your Swift / iOS dev work that is going to be very nice, if not over-specβd.
I have a MacBook Pro M3 with 36GB RAM, 12-core CPU and 18-core GPU and compile times are fast with this - yours will be really quick.
I think youβll find the Xcode experience to be frustrating.
Catching flu and having a fever; a story told using Apple Healthβs vitals statistics.
Thank you.
Now just hunkering down and doing very little.
This afternoonβs haircut cancelled, I will look like we did during Covid when we couldnβt go to a barber! LOL
Iβm mostly pissed that Iβve had to cancel the barista course I was due to go on tomorrow, been looking forward to that for weeks!βοΈ
Had flu jab a few weeks ago; succumbed to flu on Tuesday.
Now I just ache all over, have constant itchy and watery eyes, sinus pain, and wheezing chesty cough.
I was just coming to the end of a stint on FostAir to bring my asthmatic chest wheezing under control.
One step forward, 20 steps back!!
Make you excuses and leave the meeting; sounds like a waste of time.
If the ask you why you are leaving just say that there is a terrible smell in the room, makes you feel sick.
That smell being utter BS!
That age thing is total rubbish btw.
I grew up in the β70-80s and the 80s is my favourite decade for music; Iβm still some way off being 60-yo.
A collection of dog toys hanging on a washing line to dry, but the staring eyes of some toys make this scene look a little macabre.
Dog toys found scattered around the garden needed a wash; been having out to dry overnight. Rained early this morning so they are just getting wet, looks more like a dog toy torture scene.
Then my aching back was not in vain! LOL
I reckon the builder didnβt expect to see the neighbour peeking at him.π
Yep.
TMS (via BBC Sounds app) is about 10s ahead of TV coverage for me.
Not ideal, but at least the commentary is better.
