Can you share the syllabus or any other teaching material? I've been planning a "Psychology of Roleplay" seminar course and there's probably some overlap

There are a few good books and guides, my (biased) suggestion is the text I wrote for this very purpose

Thrilled to share our paper on the formation of brain shape in human newborns, just out @natneuro.nature.com: tinyurl.com/2ty4ef43
Using #fractal analysis of #MRI data from the developing Human Connectome Project (lnkd.in/dxeHbJX6), we show that brain shape closely captures infant age and genetics β¬οΈ
There definitely are many people using it with time-series data, I know there's a literature with EEG brain activity.
For brain structure, so much of the literature is 'size' (volume/thickness/area), but glosses over what shape the volume is.
About 10 years ago I came across 'fractal dimensionality' as a measure of brain structure. Studying it's utility with healthy aging, clinical populations, and across species has led to 19 papers since then. The most recent paper is now online at Nature Neuroscience!

You can do this right now:
Think of a person who wrote a paper you love, whose work influenced or helped you, or has made your professional life better.
Search up their email address. Shoot them a quick email of thanks. It means so, so much. This is a rough time of year, share some joy.

Three Surprises From Attempting To Replicate Recent Studies in Top Psychology Journals Amanda Metskas December 4, 2025 How has the replication rate of psychology studies changed in recent years? Are we still experiencing a βreplication crisis,β where only 40-60% of results replicate when the study is conducted again?
"Replication rates are higher than experts predicted and p-hacking is much less common than we expected!"

I've had this issue too, though a few years ago. Coauthored preprints were fine, but all single author ones were privated and had to individually be made public again.
Thank you!!
Congratulations to @engra.me on receiving the @bacn.co.uk Early Career Award. Great talk! #BACN25
#BACN25 started off with the Early Career Award talk by Christopher Madan (@engra.me).
Watch #BACN25 today and tomorrow for the latest in UK cognitive neuroscience!
Follow @bacn.co.uk for even more after the conference.
And weβre off! Jamie Ward opening @bacn.co.uk #BACN2025 in Edinburgh with prize talk by @engra.me detailing his work and service to the scientific community
I'm really looking forward to giving the opening talk for #BACN25!

Four large Dutch universities, including Leiden University where I work, have decided to throw international psychology bachelor programs under the bus in an effort to appease the rightwing government.
Here's my blog why this is a terrible idea.

I never thought that fear of detention or deportation would have been on the list of reasons for making conferences hybrid, but this seems compelling
