You did it on mobile???
You get all the points and my respect. I'm still working on fixing the bug on mobile that it doesn't move nicely from tile to tile.

Clarification: building websites without ads, no trackers, no spy thingies, et al. I know the thing that prevents people from creating a website with comics about CSS coded in CSS: common sense. At least, most people.
Screenshot of brave browser tracker and ads analysis for comiCSS website: zero.
What stops you from building websites like this?
*In general, I try not to use those, but if they fit in the puzzle...
I have a list with 3,000 CSS words including properties, values, functions, colors, etc. that I use to create the games. Some of the words are from old/deprecated features that didn't make it into the standard in the end, but are somewhere buried in the drafts. Trying to keep players on their toes ๐
Crossword with the title "comicss.art - crossword"
Two columns titled across and down, with definitions for a crossword.
A "to go" version in PNG (this is how it looks printed)
Today's CSS game is a crossword!
comicss.art/games/11/
It has 89 CSS terms, and it may be harder than it looks. Think you know CSS? Try it!
You can play directly on the browser (let me know if you find any glitches ๐), or it has print styles to make it easier to put on paper.

Yes, that's a problem I've had with the other games and I'm looking at. I think the virtual keyboard is playing with my JS events.

Demo: codepen.io/t_afif/full/... via @codepen.io
"We didn't need it"
Picture in two parts: Top: Amazon: "We've been hit by a bad object", next to a screenshot from AWS indicating that there was a power issue in a data center because it was "impacted by objects that struck the data center, creating sparks and fire" Bottom: The bad object: [icon of a JS file with the text Date() inside]
Cartoon with two people at the gates of Heaven. One is checking a list saying 'Sorry, but web developers' admission is now inversely proportional to their number of HTML classes.' The other person looks concerned while wearing a t-shirt with the Tailwind logo. Off-panel, someone with a red hand holding a pitchfork says 'You are coming with me, buddy!'

I must not Tailwind
Tailwind is the style-killer
Tailwind is the little-death that brings class plethora
I'll face Tailwind
I'll permit it to pass over and through my site
And when it's gone past I'll turn the inner eye to see its code
Where Tailwind has gone there'll be nothing
Only CSS will remain
We used that feature to code the Random comic strip: comicss.art/comics/207/r...
(only works on Safari atm)
CSS is getting native randomness ๐ฒ
random() and random-item() are coming with:
- per-element randomness
- step-based ranges
- shared value options
- zero JS required
I wrote an overview of the feature, how it works, and what browsers support it.

Comic with 6 panels in a 2x3 grid. Two people are talking next to a chart with a bell curve and a "we are family inc" poster. Person 1: We have five engineers, so one has to be rated 'does not meet expectations' Person 2: Even if the succeeded at all the goals they had assigned? Person 1: Yes. Someone has to be the bottom performer. Person 2: So... yearly goals don't matter. You're measuring who loses. And how are the people who created the rating system evaluated? Person 1: we get stock options and a 17% bonus.
Not the usual type of comic I do.... but it is coded with the comiCSS library, so it's ok-ish?
Oops. Just tested on mobile and it works terrible. I'll check later.
New Game: Color Stairs

Do you know the names of the colors that form these stairs? The color swatches at the end of each one are your main hint.

comic with 4 panels in a 2x2 grid showing a sleepy CSS logo yawning and saying '5:30am! Time to rise and shine and exercise', the there's some CSS code: 'animation: 1s exercise steps(10000, end);', then the CSS logo looks like running and the last panel is a close up of the podometer: 10000 steps, no minutes of exercise, and it is 5:31am.

I'll clarify that this is not happening in the current company I'm at (and hopefully it will stay that way), but I've seen it many times in corporate America (and no doubt it happens in other places.)
