His terrible hair (head and facial) choices for the past couple of years were a telltale sign of inner ugliness
Same question!
Media attention has moved on, Noem and Bovino have been shuffled off to do evil elsewhere, and the state terror is ramping up again.
I got blocked by @bajaarizona.bsky.social and I don't even KNOW why!
Thank you so much for doing this. For two years in a row Iβve bought my Thin Mints from trans girls on your list and got a warm fuzzy feeling while eating
Serena Williams!! Who had been my hero!!
Spain is really dong great things lately
Very important story. We've seen Haitians get some of the worst treatment of anyone
Please let national democratic leadership take note
I just canβt even laugh about anything related to this. I volunteered for two years trying to make this a good plan. Andβ¦we couldnβt even get items on our own agenda. Itβs just SO bad. Nothing should run like this and itβs a really terrible deal.
Because the RTA refused to define βregional,β there are a large number of truly local projects in the suburbs. Projects that those jurisdictions should pay for themselves. βRegionalβ was left undefined precisely for this reason.
That is true ofβ¦.any road outside of any city anywhere?
RTA One is still relevant since a bunch of Tucson projects got left unfinished (always the Tucson projects). RTA Next is bad for the City.
It would be a good idea to ask the RTA for their official definition of βregional.β Hint: they refused to make one. Also you could argue that ANY road is βconnecting residentsβ; the issue is the decision making process.
items on our own agendas. Several committee members received warning letters threatening civil and even criminal penalties for speaking about the process without PAG authorization.
Did you talk to anyone who neither worked for PAG or was on the Board? A large number of us volunteered our time to try to make this a good plan. We were blocked. I know lots of people that can tell you about it. You didnβt hear our voices at meetings much because we werenβt even allowed to put
Itβs winners and losers, not a coherent regional vision. I was REPEATEDLY mocked when I proposed that we define βregionalβ
That is not AT ALL how the RTA works. AT ALL.
Now do you see why itβs such a problem that the City only has one vote? The plan is dictated by the suburbs who vote as a blockβ they even dictate what projects get done inside the City.
Then you believe wrong. That is not how the RTA works. Source: I was on the Citizens Advisory Committee of the RTA. The whole board votes on all the projects.
Sigh. This vote wonβt fix THAT problem, but RTA Next is bad for Tucson residents and the environment. We should all live in denser neighborhoods.
The City wants to amend that project to reduce the number of car lanes, and add bike lanes. The suburbs, voting as a block, want to make it wider so itβs βeasierβ for them to speed through town (it wonβt even do that because of induced demand, but they think it will)
Iβm a socialist, too! But itβs not like everyone contributes equally and it gets divided equally or anything. The suburbs have an outsized voice in he choice of projects and even how the projects are completed. Case in point: 1st Ave
Yeah, but the research has shown that the bulk of the money comes from Tucson residents.
Because you will disproportionately benefit from Tucson residents, and contribute to sprawl. Unincorporated areas are in general a problem. Believe in taxation? Incorporate!
βFascism, itβs always about using nationalism, and the nation, as a bludgeon to generate support for death policies, on behalf of death governments. For violence and repression and exploitation, internationalism is the antidote, always.β βRobin D. G. Kelley
no war no borders no cops no prisons no to all of this shit
Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
i personally think war is bad
