Shane Reti gone burger but personally profited from National's billion dollar privatisation heist

His "aspirational" billion dollar cuts will hurt our health system for years to come

Lockdown, vaccine decisions 'considered and appropriate' – Royal Commission The Covid-19 Royal Commission has broadly backed the decisions taken during the pandemic, while identifying areas for improvement.

The Covid-19 Royal Commission's second report has been published, I've read (almost) all of it and here are the key takeaways:

This guy probably got where he did because Muller & Kaye made a stuff up on demoting all Māori in their shadow cabinet and had to promote someone.

A truly awful Health Minister and pretty useless at Science and Stats.

Cut Nelson and Dunedin Hospital rebuilds - that should be his shameful epitaph.

Bet the oil companies are quaking in their boots being threatened by this blowhard.

They're really scared Shane, honest.

If only this moron hadn't driven off the companies wanting to invest in Taranaki offshore wind arms...

If only this moron hadn't actively obstructed plans for govt-subsidised commercial and domestic solar production...

Cartoon. Title: Move on orders

Little Luxon storms across the tiles to remind everyone, "HEY HEY HEY! IDES OF MARCH ISNT TILL THIS SUNDAY! NOW GET BACK TO WORK! I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE!"

Behind him hiding by a Greek La column an angry Erica Stanford can be seen brandishing a knife.

To the right of Little Luxon three sad MP's stand - tiny Simeon, Nicola Willis and Chris Bishop.

Those two are holding their stabby stab stabs very sadly whilst consoling each other.

I'm sorry but the judges giving home detention for paedophiles are coming close to condoning the crime.

It's horrific offending and this guy and the Gloriavale one deserve prison. The judges in both cases are undermining the justice system.

The Government has a responsibility to ensure that technologies launched from New Zealand soil are not being used to help other countries wage war.

If Rocket Lab launches from Aotearoa are supporting the illegal war on Iran then the Government must be transparent about this.

I'm not arguing that technically it is correctly Reliant Robin, I am saying that it was referred to commonly the other way around in the UK.

From the Reliant site "The term Robin Reliant is so ingrained into UK society, that it will be something that will be with us for a long time".

09.03.2026 04:39 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Reliant car nerds even admit it on their site.

"Where the term Robin Reliant originates from I do not know but it must have been from some thing that a mass audience absorbed as so many people use the term within the UK".

Del Boy's Robin Reliant sells for double the expected amount at auction - and the interior is unmistakable
The 1968 Reliant Regal van was bought by an Only Fools and Horses superfan when filming finished before being sold at auction in Warwickshire

That's why I said "and all Reliant vehicles".

To be honest its a car thing vs popular culture thing and I'm definitely not a car person.

Sorry, but I was on OE in the UK in 80s early 90s and they, and all Reliant vehicles, were commonly referred to as Robin Reliants, especially in comedy Only Fools & Horses, Ab Fab..

It may not be right for car people but it was how they were referred to in the culture.
