I wrote a short article on AI Model Evaluation for the Open Encyclopedia of Cognitive Science ππ
Hope this is helpful for anyone who wants a super broad, beginner-friendly intro to the topic!
Thanks @mcxfrank.bsky.social and @asifamajid.bsky.social for this amazing initiative!
New working paper Iβve got out (w/ Tom Griffiths @cocoscilab.bsky.social )
Still a work in progress, but weβre excited about the idea and are currently working to extend it. Thanks, Gary, for sharing it!
Every anti-vaxxer I encounter seems to love weird unregulated supplements. They hate Big Pharma but they love Little Pharma, Big Pharmaβs younger sibling who grew up without any adult supervision.

A new preprint, co-authored with @johnwkrakauer.bsky.social:

Written English has barely changed in 300 years. If you can read Harry Potter, you can read Robinson Crusoe (1719).

Congratulations! So richly deserved!
I'm SO tired of people looking for "the neuroscience of X" (meaning uninformative neuroimaging pictures) when *the psychology of X* is right there, doing a perfectly good job...
Linguist friends: Sadly, Barbara Partee's partner Volodja recently passed away. She has to send a death certificate to Russia and is asking if anyone traveling there in the near future could carry it with them, since sending from w/i Russia by a fast reliable service seems the very best option.
Please reply to me and I'll pass the info along (she's not on Bluesky)

I see that only a tiny fraction of you, my Bluesky friends, also follow @jeopardyofficial.bsky.social on here. Why not go follow right now? My guess is the more eyeballs we get here, the more attention we can give Bluesky relative to other social media platforms!
I am looking to hire 2-3 post-docs over the course of the next few months to work on questions related to cognitive control in humans, broadly construed. EEG, TMS, DBS, sEEG, fMRI or related methodological experience preferred.
