WTF Doug? You're the premier of Ontario. Fund hospitals and education. Fix highways. Build bridges in towns where they need it. Stop this weird obsession with the city that hates you.

Why do I imagine him meeting Altman like a fanboy, and not someone who needs to be taking OpenAI to task?

Another Doug Ford scam! There's a perfectly good Science Centre already. And they just opened a LRT station there! Which of Doug's friends got this contract?
globalnews.ca/news/1170801...
What does Doug Ford want exactly? Is he working to make life better for regular Ontarians? Or is his goal to squeeze as much money out of the Province to enrich his wealthy friends?
No spoiler: its the second one. Every choice he makes is based on how how he can make his friends richer.
Doug seems to keep thinking he's the premier of Toronto. Still mad about not getting elected mayor all those years ago.

Netflix won't counter Ellison's offer.
Ladies and gentleman, the full right wing power grab is here and will now be beamed into every home on CBS, CNN, HBO, movies from Warner and Paramount.

Statements like this, should be called out whenever they occur. Reform should give him the boot.
Did it to yourself, America.
Alberta is about to post a budget with a massive deficit, and they are going to try to blame Ottawa for that. But the purse strings start and end with the provincial government. They are going to use the deficit and the austerity that will follow to stoke their anti-Canada sentiments.
Doug Ford has never had to work for anything in his life. How could he understand how changes to OSAP would affect students? How can he understand how his underfunding healthcare affects patients? He's a rich guy who came from a rich family. He doesn't understand and he doesn't care.
Hot take: forcing AI into everything is the extinction burst of the AI industry.
lifehacker.com/tech/apple-i...
When an AI CEO tells us that one day their product will do something, we should immediately call BS. They are simply trying to prop up their dying product with the promise of something that will never be. They and their shareholders benefit from false promises, the rest of us should be skeptical.
If health care in Ontario is unsustainable, its because Doug Ford wants it that way. He's under funded our health services for his entire tenure as premier, all so that he can introduce a private health care option that will benefit his cronies.

Pedos, all of them. Charge them. Arrest them. String them up.
Well, this seems like the actions of a government that has nothing to hide. /s

If any of these people actually cared about that they would arrest Trump and everyone else in those files.
*sigh* Another American at the head of a Canadian arts institution. So disappointing.
What a lackluster season from Mirvish Productions. A Karate Kid musical? 13 Going on 30, the musical? I'm so bored of the movie to musical pipeline. The only interesting shows (IMO) are Operation: Mincemeat and Salesman in China.

I think the term "American Exceptionalism" is stupid anyway.
Why try to be so stuck up?? Every country has their strengths and weaknesses
Anyway

THIS IS WHAT PUTIN HAS ON HIM
This rehabilitation of Stephen Harper is a joke. He is (and has been since 2018) the Chairman of the IDU, which supports right-wing governments all around the world. They have aided the resurgence of fascism throughout the world, and as the Chair, Harper has had a direct hand in this.
I always used to hear people say that Americans needed the second amendment in case the government ever turned fascist. Weird.
Apparently they are turning The Lost Boys into a musical. Of course, the most important question, is how will they handle the most important character in the film? Of course, I'm talking about saxophone guy.
What does sustainable theatre look like beyond major cities? π
On Stageworthy, Phil Rickaby talks with Tim Porter, founding Artistic Director of Tweed & Company Theatre, about building a professional company in a rural community β and why serving audiences matters more than chasing prestige.
So, a lot of powerful and rich people visited Epstein's island and did unspeakable things to children, and there are not going to be any consequences for that? They just get to go on as if its business as usual? Do I have that right? π‘
In a normal world, the fact of a name being in the Epstein files would be enough to bring someone down. Every person named must be investigated. Every person named needs to be shunned at the very least. Ever person who harmed children must be prosecuted. Regardless of who they are.
If all these oligarchs named in the Epstein Files are totally innocent, surely theyβd be in favor of an independent investigation into Epsteinβs crimes.
Right?
The Epstein Files reveal that the world's most wealthy and powerful men are either raping girls OR have absolutely no problem with other perverted men raping and trafficking girls as long as it helps their bottom line.
I can only hope this infuriates the majority against the elite.
Arrest and prosecute.
