As if trying to call my congress woman to beg her not to take healthcare isn’t horrible enough, her phone disconnects when I try to leave a message or her mail box is full. How can we have representatives that aren’t even pretending to represent us?!
Can we talk about how ridiculous it is that I have to call my “representative” and beg her to vote no on a bill that will kick people off their insurance just to be told by a staffer that my call has been noted

I might have a stroke for my birthday because I told my mom I didn’t want to do anything big and she said she could just cancel but people have already responded
My birthday is coming up and I want to emphasize how much I don’t like parties thrown for me and I usually don’t like even doing birthday lunches but I mentioned to my mom maybe doing something with her, my brother and my cousin and she texted THE WRONG family group chat and invited everyone

Like my dr wasn’t about to make me radioactive for no reason. And yet, he had to waste his time justifying an order to someone who had nothing to do with my care and treatment.
So apparently United health is threatening mass layoffs so I just wanted to remind everyone about the time they denied my pet scan after oncological surgery so my Dr had to do a peer to peer to prove he wasn’t ordering it just for fun I guess
Based on the way I don’t remember about my shoulder tattoo until TT showed me the video I posted a year ago about me forgetting about the tattoo… if I get sent to a “wellness camp” I’m gonna forget to go and I’m being so serious right now
And if you’re still on the fence, remember that these are our *elected* officials. They are supposed to be working for us. Think of it as a boss checking on their employee (respectfully of course) but they can’t know our concerns if we don’t tell them
Also, if you have any anxiety about making calls, you’ll most likely end up leaving a voicemail and if a staffer does answer, they’re just doing their job. The ones I have spoken to have all been very polite. It’s so much easier than I thought
I read that the number of calls our reps have gotten has gone down and since apparently we need to call them to do their jobs, please keep calling your reps or start if you haven’t yet. 5calls.org is a great resource for scripts on issues. You can read the script word for word
I got through to one of Hakeem Jeffries staffers. I was calling because I was annoyed that I was getting another fundraising email and I thought it would go straight to voicemail but his staffer was supper polite and it was nice to actually talk to someone
She’s asking her stylist if she’s been to specific places and when slider stylist replies she goes “well I actually have a house there”
And she’s glad states can’t “f around” anymore if they want aid. Getting your roots touched up isn’t going to cover your rotten soul but go off I guess

I’m sick of sending resumes where I have to upload my entire resume and then MANUALLY FILL IN everything. Like there’s a really good chance I’m wasting my time duplicating my info for a company that’s not even going to look at my resume 😅
