They'll just get them online, their parents medicine cabinet, or friends. They aren't going to stop access, only safe access to hormones. Trans people have been getting access to hormones via nonmedical pathways for over half a century.

Texas AG Ken Paxton has declared that it is illegal for mental health providers and therapists to treat trans youth. It means that trans youth will be denied access to any mental healthcare that isn't conversion therapy. Paxton also threatens parents of trans youth with child abuse investigations.
When clinics started putting out research that 97.5% of trans youth who socially transitioned maintained a stable gender identity for 5 years,the reaction was never going to be, "I guess this isn't a phase." It was always going to be to ban social transition.
As Kagan notes in her dissent, the Court opted not to hear the due process parental rights argument against bans on gender-affirming medical care in Skrmetti, basically setting up a regime where parents can force their trans children back into the closet but cannot help them out of it
This court specifically avoided bringing up challenges on bans for gender affirming care for trans youth on parental rights grounds so they can weaponize parental rights against trans youth while stripping them from the supportive parents of trans youth. It's obscene.
Texas attorney general targets therapists of trans youth
This of course runs counter to the recommendations of all major medical and mental health organizations, as well as all existing research and data in this field.
Human rights must stand above politics.
I spoke in the Legislature about why dignity cannot be conditional. Rights are rarely lost all at once, they’re weakened little by little.

One of my favourite Pride memories was watching BillboardGrifter get harassed and laughed at by a group of young people as he was trying to walk away quickly and they just kept chasing him and laughing. 🤣
