Leaving Troy, the first page of the comic book I'm currently finishing !

I originally thought of it being some sort of father's/ mother's day-equivalent in Fontaine, which Neuvillette of course does not notice - except that Melusines keep coming up to him and handing him gifts while he just goes ??? Thank you ???

Help i am developing a whole magic system for them -

Sketches of two people looking at each other. One is taller and has for fennec fox ears and horns that look like twigs. He has a big scarf around his neck and big wooden moon staff in crossed arms, as well as a soft fluffy tail. The other person is smaller and has a tail with fins at the end as well as scales all over and multiple smaller fins and membrane to help with swimming on their limbs, as well as gills on their torso. They had a little twig in one hand with the leaves still on it and a little glowing star in the other hand and look panicked. In the corner is another little sketch where the taller character says, "We have got to cut your hair. You can't keep creating annihilating stars on accident." Smaller character looks defeated and says, "Ok."

Four-eared-fennec has gotten a name (Fanak) and a mentee (Paltso) who keeps creating annihilating stars on accident.

What was Fanak going to do, leave him laying on the beach and the little guy destroy the universe on accident? No thank you.

An earlier iteration of the same guy. The four white ears are also present, but instead of twiggy antlers, they have goggles on their head, the clothes looser and flowier with no scarf. The colours at more bright, soft blue and green tones with salmon coloured accents.

Exactly the same guy as the picture just before, the earlier iteration with the more brightly coloured clothes, but in a cuter chibi-like style.

A Person with four white fennec fox-like ears and two antlers that mostly look like twigs. They are wearing a big warm scarf and loose and flowing but thick outer layer in earthy tones. Their left hand is wrapped in fabric and they're pulling the scarf down like they're about to speak, looking off to the side. On their face they have white dots under their eyes looking a bit like scales, and similarly markings on the forehead. Their hair is white like the ears and a bit longer than their collarbone.

A black and white comic strip of Maomao with 7 panels. Of the three on the top one is blank, in the second Maomao looks to the left and in the third she lets something drip out of a vial into a cup. The panel in the middle is the largest, showing Maomao in her woskshop surrounded by hanging herbs and flowers. The bottom three panels show her looking at something off-screen, grinding more herbs with a mortar and pestle, and then sighing.

The second comic strip with another 7 panels. In the top one Maomao looks to the left again, surprised at a noise. Panel two to 5 in the middle show Jinshi standing in the door to the workshop, sparkling as usual, and Maomao greeting him with a smile. He is backlit by the setting sun, but the flush at getting a smile from Maomao is nevertheless visible. Panel 5 shows him happily dissolving into many tiny hearts. In the bottom two panels he moves closer, putting his hand on Maomao's shoulder, who has a speech bubble with only one of her 3-part checklist having been checked off. In the last panel, Jinshi happily leans his head against Maomao's as he settles in to watch her work. Maomao has an angry little twirly above her head signaling her apparent displeasure, but there are many tiny hearts all around them.

Day 1 - Strand

Comic drafting is going surprisingly well so far! even if it's a very slow process lol

so out of context and probably illegible but i am really liking it so far 🌱

But more importantly I have started on the story and I'm excited.

Story development has been going very well! Here are the three main darlings. I love them, all of them are so weird.

A sort of sketched and loosely coloured roster of five characters. They all wear clothes in earthy tones and half of them look very fit to go into nature while half of them absolutely do not.

Two full body and coloured sketches of Apidos, wearing dark green-brown clothes and having a bow and arrows strapped to his back. And a small sketch of his eye and eye makeup, green below and in the outer corner of his eye. Kind of like an inverted eyeliner and slightly edgy.

Two he is shown gesturing, a bow and arrows strapped to his back. Three is him very small and a full body look at him. Hair falls into his face in all of them, as part of his design.
