Thanks so much! If you are familiar with the autoinstall process of ports in portmaster you can find the Songo#5 testing channel in the portmaster discord and try it out ahead of the release
@nikisquest
I'm developing a Rogue-Lite inspired by games like Peglin and Hades with a protagonist based on my wife. I am a software engineer and gamedev brings me peace. Would love to do this full time eventually. Discord: https://discord.gg/Jz4xAnSdTt

It felt tight at first but then I optimized just about everything and it's really fast now. All audio is streamed, all lists are virtualized, and I'm doing a lot of stuff asynchronously as well. It runs great on these 1gb devices. I suspect less than half a gig would be hard to work with.
Some more photos
Oh eventually I'll make the Godot engine modules public for flac and mp3 streaming from any directory location
This is what I've been side tracked on, a music player app for Linux handhelds. I should have it available in portmaster come January. #Godot #gamedev #indiedev #music #linux #retrogaming
Whenever I'm struggling in life, work, or otherwise I always recall this sage advice.
For #screenshotSaturday I want to show off something my son has been working on. Its really amazing that he can illustrate such strong emotions like "slug" and "potato". Couldn't be more proud of little man.
Hell yea. I'll sound like a broken record suggesting this but expedition 33 OST is great too
Oh man if you want to get hooked on video game music you need to play Hyper Light Drifter
Thank you! That means a lot to me, it's really just leveraging what Godot can already do ๐
Github link is up in an above comment ๐
Always grateful for your support Tom!
Heres the github link. if you use it please let me know what you think! You can get a hold of me here, in my discord server, or for bugs you can submit an issue on github.

I promise I tried to get pretty scene previews in the dock. I know it's possible but I had to admit defeat after trying for a few hours. Maybe I'll get it to work in v1.1. Id love to make them look like GridMaps mesh library previews
Let me know what you think and if you come across any bugs! I'll respond again here when I have the GitHub page for it up ๐
Heck yea! Let me know if you end up using it. It should work well for any 3d project although low poly or this 2.5d style will yield the best results
Here's DropMap v1.0 a #GodotEngine plugin to make prop distribution and decorating as easy as possible. I'll have a github page up for it later today as well as a download in my discord. Let me know if you have any suggestions for it!

Ouch that's a bummer. I've never done a jam but I've heard a lot of mixed stories
That... actually makes a lot of sense
You could make some mvp's see if any demos get traction maybe?
An image of a plugin interface that allows scene distribution by snapping items to the ground.
I made some tweaks to the DropMap plugin I am building, you can add and manage collections all in the dock now! These also save to a resource so you only have to make your collections once and you can reuse them in any DropMap node.

I'll check that out, it sounds interesting ๐
Thanks! I'll definitely be using it a lot in my own project haha
What kind of physics do you think it should implement? Aside from snapping down to collisions I don't know what physics would be helpful in the editor. Genuinely curious, I'd love to make this a tool that can really help people.
Hey folks I made a #GodotEngine plugin to make 3d scene decoration easier. It's meant to feel like Gridmap but is based on snapping scenes down to a surface instead of to a grid. I'll have it available in my discord server and github in a few days.

The theme work is really well done here ๐คฉ
This looks really charming nicely done
This looks great, good job!
This looks so cozy!
I was going to say the same thing, there could also accessibility tools that rely on base mouse usability
