A lot of people hated the MM version because it made some changes from the original.
Definitely 'easier' from how it simplifies some things, especially boss fights - but I've a few friends who weren't able to get on with the original, but loved the 3DS version.
I think it's fine, overall.
Then there's the 3DS versions!
OoT was certainly groundbreaking, but MM feels like a passion project, imo. It's a lot of people's favourites.
My favourite companion, Tatl coming in as a close second.
A not-so-quick Midna doodle
I've put a moratorium on Foxbot and the like in a lot of the chats I run, as it is inclined to default to a simple Twitter link (banned in the chats I run) or e621, which is not a source.

SubStar finally fixed European billing as of this afternoon.
Only burger that guy's eaten is the kind with a well-done filet mignon inside.

oh! there's so much going on with this!
it's distinctively your fursona.
only you could do this type of character.
Alright. Still have a car. Got a stay of repo, but it's temporary - more work to be done before I'm safe.
Horseradish TCH vape and Vicks Vapo-Rub as lube. I'm ready.
Yeah, BattlEye detecting musical instruments as unauthorised HIDs that can be used to cheat with... Ngl, it's pretty funny.
Yeahhhhh, basically, BattlEye is detecting musical instruments as illegal human interface devices (like a XIM on console), causing the PC to just straight up bluescreen from the driver crash BattlEye induces.
The Scarlett Solo doesn't have a MIDI port, as far as I'm aware.
SellswordArts have been good at it. They'll talk how genuinely terrible a weapon would be to use and fight with, then Clark starts Clarkin' Off about how cool it is in the anime and David is unable to disagree.
ELY5: "My computer thinks I'm using musical instruments to cheat in the game, so I unplugged the musical instruments and now it's okay."
I like when they go "this weapon is totally impractical, heavy, uncomfortable to hold, and would injure you before you injure anyone else, BUT 'The Rule of Cool' makes this thing S-tier"
Windows 11 Device Manager screenshot showing how to disable the Focusrite USB MIDI controller under 'Sound, video and game controllers'.
Marathon's kernel-level anticheat will cause instant bluescreen KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (0x139) on launch if you have a Focusrite audio interface connected (Scarlett, Clarett, etc.)
A workaround is disabling your MIDI input in Device Manager. You then need to reboot and reinstall BattlEye.
Especially since it's not even difficult for a suppressor to be bottom-heavy and therefore not occlude the sights! The fact we have had to put up with this for decades is wwwwwild to me.
They're neat on pistols, but only if the suppressor doesn't block the sights, or you've got something to accommodate like suppressor sights or an RMR.
The 'pay for roleplay' stuff is 100% gonna be genAI text for maximum pay:effort ratio.
Unfortunately for everyone except me, I am a XBOX Steel Battalion (2003) Control Deck [Green Switch Vers.] and no, I am not listing myself on eBay.
Tbh, 2006-2009 or so, Twitter was pretty lovely. It was still small enough to have the 'worldwide' tab, with a live feed of every tweet across the entire site as it was posted.
It felt so quiet and chilled out.
