It really doesn't need to be the way it is, but it can only change if we work together and that's really, really hard.
I wish I made art like I write code.
Some days I'll be like "What am I doing today? Nothing's going on. I guess I'll work on that code project."
Sitting down to draw stuff takes a little more energy getting started, so I do it less.
I heard that the game Yap Yap is about casting spells but you have to say a magic word into your microphone.
What I didn't know is the whole point of the game is to smash stuff.
These are adorable.
This is like asking if you should help the Dark Souls NPCs reach their convoluted happy endings, or if you should treat them as treasure chests that just happened to have dialogue trees.
When you're building a game or app that hits an API, remember to test loading states.
Your dev environment is usually ideal and your server calls feel instant. Give yourself some fake latency to make sure your game still feels good when the little things load a bit slower.

There are some truly incredible and talented dancers at the cypher, but what gets the biggest cheers is taking a chance. When you try something new, when you leave your comfort zone, or when folks jump in for the first time, that's when the gang goes nuts.
