I actually take him at his word that he’s not a Nazi and that at this point in his life he’s anti-fascist. But he’s shown over and over that his judgment is bad and he’s getting caught in an obvious lie. Character has to matter.

Happy to hear that my theory that movies with exclamation points in the title are almost always interesting (even if they're bad) is holding up once again.
But the fact that this prosecution is a story is itself a story. It's really rare! The Heritage Foundation maintains a useful database of voter fraud cases, going back to the early 1980s. As far as I can tell, in the last 44 years no noncitizen has been prosecuted for voting in Pennsylvania.
The obvious utility of the story (and maybe the timing of the prosecution) is as an egregious example of illegals destroying democracy when there just happens to be a federal bill pending in the Senate to combat the issue by requiring proof of citizenship at registration time, plus ID at the polls.
It's starting to bubble up in the conservative press, so it's only a matter of time before it's the only (non-war, non-Epstein) story we will hear about.
I expect this to be a major news story once the pres hears about it: This week an undocumented immigrant from West Africa living in Philly was charged with voting in the 2024 election, and appears to have voted in several previous elections, after having first registered to vote (as a Dem) in 2005.
I was hoping she was mad about LOVE STORY (1970).
That movie wants you to believe that "love means never having to say you're sorry." Good luck with that one!
