Alright, so this part 2 of being sick seems to be a sinus infection. Amoxicillin it is, and back to sleep. I hope this ends soon.

I got whatever this is going around and I'm on day 8... this sucks. Cough/congestion/fever/tired.. meh
I survived my first Marathon :) With that done, we're looking at getting our scopes swapped out and set up sometime this weekend if weather holds out!
It's not a bad price for a Proofpoint service, but since it can't do decryption, I'm not sure I'll get the value from it and NextDNS.io can do IP safety pretty good from a DNS perspective.
Have to buy it - $99/yr
Off to go watch! :D
Sadrastro ASTRO PHOTOGRAPHY Is It WORTH It???
Astronomy gear too expensive? Using remote telescopes costing too much? Why not download data from a remote observatory! @sadrastro.com Observatory allows just that! Bucketloads of data at a low cost! But is it worth it?

Yeah, I don't mind spending a full moon night updating/replacing gear. We'll also be installing a 10" RC scope ๐๐ญ

alright, i blocked the other account in our feed for what looks like content theft. grrr
Getting ready for Galaxy season. LRGB SHO filters are mounted in EFW, camera spacing configured, focuser testing going on now to make sure we got everything spaced well enough. Final tweaks on getting the RC ready for mounting and first light. Getting excited to start going after some deep targets.
I figured it was finally time to show my smiling mug as my profile pic :) yup, there is a human behind this Observatory! ๐ญ๐ชโ๏ธ
I still have mine, but haven't tried it for astrophotos. My DSLR is pretty ancient.
I have enjoyed seeing this play out.
Feeds are a great way to have views of content you may not want to follow directly in your "following" tab but want to observe and view to see what's going on in the world of space, astronomy and astrophotography. One of the best features of bsky, is that we're able to extend the network. Enjoy!
Ok, which one of you is the real one? @bellagold.bsky.social or @waltwatsonastro.bsky.social - these are remarkably identical in too many ways.
Looking for a break from the news? Check out our #space #astrophotography and #astronomy feed. "The Cosmos" - We're still working out a few quirks here and there, but hope you enjoy a feed where we're trying to surface the amazing content shared on #bluesky. bsky.app/profile/did:... - Pin to save!
Looking great!

Welcome new #bluesky folks! We're happy to see over 30,000,000 of you! If you're interested in a great starter pack for some great astrophotography imager, processors and astronomers - check out our starter pack and follow these awesome accounts! go.bsky.app/JZEeY9t #starterpack
We've implemented some hashtags already commonly used, a keyword list for post and alt-descriptions and some filters to keep out known bots that tend to steal content. We'll keep fine tuning and adjusting as we can and if you have any feedback or issues to report, feel free to reply to this post!
We're building a custom feed for all things astro. "The Cosmos" Check it out and give it a follow. Our goal is to help amplify astronomy, space, and astrophotography across hashtags, keywords, alt tags and descriptions to bring together the amazing content being shared on BlueSky.
Great shot of Andromeda there!
Sharpless 157 is a fairly small nebula which shows up just below the center of this image. A ghostly set of green, purple, red, and yellow gaseous clouds dominate this image, lit from within by the bright stars in the center of the nebulae.
The Lobster Claw Nebula and surrounding area without stars. SHO data from @sadrastro.com processed by me in #Siril and #GIMP as HSO. @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social will tell you all the magical things that are in this image, but spoiler alert - it's a lot! #Astrophotography ๐ญ
