Russians are providing military technology to Iranian proxies
Right... And all for a conflict with no defined purpose, and no end goal, waged by leaders who apparently have no domestic guardrails and almost no limits as to what methods they will use.
Brilliant from @nesrinemalik.bsky.social: how Trump & Netanyahu have just jeopardised the entire Gulf State apparatus.

Trump bombs.
The Telegraph screams humiliation.
The Mail screams betrayal.
GB News screams weakness.
And all of a sudden a complex global crisis becomes yet another loyalty test to American power.
The UK deserves better than this performative war hysteria.

Thanks for this. Seems to me LI is trying to do 2 things, 1) how to let people know what you do (so that those interested can find out) and 2) find a way of connecting as we did on old style twitter but because of 1) thatβs not working so well! Having said that more than happy to connect with anyone

Junko Tabei, a Japanese climber, was told to stay home and raise a family.
She ignored that and, in 1975, was the first woman to summit Everest.

A judge even tried to ban the word βrapeβ from the courtroom. Throughout it all, her refusal to be cowed - and her insistence that shame must change sides - were, and remain, utterly inspiration.
Thank you, Gisèle Pelicot.

What a thread.
This article by @fionaswriting.bsky.social is brilliant and powerful bylines.scot/society/men-...
Adding to this in that I know what I offer is the fact that I think. Largely what I do is to think and create spaces for others in which they think. From those pauses- whether in supervision or in training transformation begins. Very hard to quantify or make it look like βworkβ, even when written.
Enjoyed reading @thatpovertyguy.bsky.social blog about world book day too.
Happy #WorldBookDay πππ€©
Books and reading are celebrated across the year in my school but very excited to welcome @ldlapinski.bsky.social to my school for an authors visit today! So grateful to LD for making it possible ππ»ππ» #ScoEdu

Enjoy the celebration, but also take a moment to be curious.
Who has access?
Who can find belonging in a story?

Thanks Sean. This is such an important message - there are a range of hidden barriers in making books accessible. Enjoying stories and story making is so pivotal to being curious and humane.
@talkingheadsoak.bsky.social @itsmotherswork.bsky.social you will both like this too!
Thanks Simone- what a wonderful post. Having a childrenβs librarian as my mother gave me ( and children in the family) such privileged access to a variety of experiences. We were guided into reading by interest and age / ability .
Iβm going to be at the Festive of Education talking about my EdD research!
This week in Talking Climate: why a warming world can mean worse winter weather, and how one of the world's biggest cities just cleaned up its air 184 years ahead of forecast. Read on!
Wonderful Carrie. What a joy filled moment
Sun headline about Β£500k compensation for migrants, discussing human rights, and public outcry over payouts.
Did you see this headline?
Did you feel the requisite anger and rage at asylum seekers that The Sun was asking of you?
Did you maybe blame Starmer because.... um... it was probably his faultπ€·ββοΈ
Would you like to know the reality behind the headline?
Course you would!π

Great idea- hoping to find others working to offer and support the implementation of #Supervision in #Education. Working across the country and across sectors I hear a lot about dilemmas senior leaders are dealing with.
It would be so good to connect

Thanks to Sara @seainclusion.bsky.social for reading and concisely analysing her view on education reform I found it helpful.

I am cautiously optimistic about the proposals in the SEND White Paper. Please read why.

Thanks Sara, for reading and writing your thoughts about the consultation documents (KCSIE and SEND reform). I too feel encouraged by what is written and the ambition.
