@nerwyn.bsky.social Service call tile feature is so cool and useful! I was really blown away by being able to use jinja conditional blocks in custom css styles. Thanks so much for making it! <3
hi
I donβt understand why mail providers donβt mark MailChimp as spam. Pretty much 100% of spam that lands in my inbox is delivered by mailchimp. Their business model is built on illegal spam mailing. Why are we tolerating them?
guess where weβre complaining about it now bitch
one semi-obscure use case I can imagine could be plural systems using indicators to show which identity is active, possibly with a legend in bio. For that usecase it would also be nice if a webhooky thing could optionally also set the profile display name and/or avatar
like some kind of "generate webhook" thing like discord has, without needing to make some developer account and tokens and read api specs and junk
I use the Focus Modes on iphone to manage a lot of stuff since it can run shortcut automations to do things like run SSH commands or http. If you did make indicators like this, it would be nice to have a spec for a webhook kind of thing that can set the status easily
In a sane world it would be the job of governments to regulate these kind of anticompetitive anticonsumer acts, but in their absence the Wild West of fediverse will do what it can to punish known bad actors. Maybe meta will redeem itself and be great but it has a lot to prove.
@gruber.foo re: fediblock, Meta has a long history of doing the embrace extend extinguish thing. Theyβre unlikely to implement account portability to let people leave for competing hosts. Why should anyone give them the benefit of the doubt?
A fun workflow is to post stuff on mastodon then maybe crosspost to bsky and if it doesn't fit in the obnoxiously small skeet length limitation just link to mastodon.
I wonder if the reason google projects always die early is because google so heavily depends on uni graduates for staffing. People go straight from compsci to google, work on some nonsense for a few years, burn out and quit, and then work in startups⦠https://indieweb.social/@phx/110562089957769821
At 5β10 I kinda feel like I need about half a slay
What if the reason people are taller now days is because weβre not slaying giants anymore

the thing media always gets wrong about being a magical kid from another dimension is that it's quite lonely it's not all just walking on fish and dancing with fairy dust in forests
Zelda is the name of the scientist, the character you play is Zelda's Monster.
So, aside from the gratuitous follow spam.. whatβs fun about this place? Iβm a little confused why itβs so hyped compared to Mastodon
Iβm mostly interested from the make my blog speak AT Proto for luxury POSSE vibes
Soβ¦ is bsky.social going to be open federation later? Iβve seen talk of allowlist testing in the near term?
@pfrazee.com Hey Paul! I miss our JS mad science video chats. Cool to see you doing big things post Beaker
Apparently I donβt know how to use this
Gave my first invite to @phx.bsky.social who is a cutting edge technologist exploring social media, federation, AI art and OG metaverses like VRChat. Worth a follow!!
